gendrya
me: it makes sense how things ended, I mean, circumstances weren’t at their best, Arya had things to do, she couldn’t be unfair to Gendry, she wouldn’t expect him to just wait for her, things are finally looking up for Gendry too, this is okay, in the end they’re okay and that’s okay,
also me: but they’re so in l o v e
GAME OF THRONES SEASON 8 EPISODE 3 SPOILER!!!
You've been warned!!
S08E03

I kind of liked this episode but at the same time it was sort of underwhelming. I don't like how they just killed the NK with the snap of a finger (it's a metaphor okay don't @me)
I totally didn't expect it to be Arya though. I really thought it would be either Jon or Dany but they really threw us a curve ball there lmao
RIP to all those that were lost. The death's that got most to me were Jorah And Theon though. Lyanna as well. Though I don't have much to say about that.
A lot of people said that they misused the Dothraki and I understand that strategically they could've used them better but I think the whole point was to give them hope and then snatch it away. As far as I remember the March of the Dothraki is the most fearsome in all of the living armies. The fact that they were wiped out in mere seconds was a testament to the mere force of the undead army and I actually believe that if the NK hadn't died, every single living person would be annihilated lmao
I really don't agree with how they handled the NK death scene but I loved that it was Arya who did it.
I think they're trying to differentiate the show from the books. The fact that the NK died so early is probably to emphasize that the real enemy is actually Cersei (and there's a theory video about it too which was published ages ago and I'm starting to think it's actually legit)
The writers are trying to remind us that this is the Game of Thrones and not The Song of Ice and Fire and I think that's good. They've gone off of GRRM's books and made the story their own. I commend that as someone who also likes to write but I agree there was way too many bad decisions in the way they handled things

This is all I ever wanted!
Game of Thrones S8E3 (My opinion)
So I was beyond hyped for this episode and while the visuals were amazing....other things weren’t so great.
Things have become so predictable after Melisandre jumped in with the brown eyes, green eye *dramatic pause* blue eyes talk. I was like, okay Arya kills the Night King for sure....but...it was quite anticlimactic?? Or is it just me? Cuz she just jumped in and stabbed him and bamm boom he’s dead.
I don’t have a problem with her killing him, don’t get me wrong, but don’t tell me, that the Night King, who was planning this shit for god knows how long, killed a fu*king dragon and brought it back, will be just offed with a - quite forseeable - stab?? So yeah, it was a letdown.
People were dying, but...i didn’t really feel any of them were necessary, they were just there for shock effect? Which is not even a thing in Game of Thrones anymore, because people dying in this show is expected! Theon was basically killed because his story line was pretty much over, he came back to Winterfell, proved he was a “good man” (aka Bran basically telling him he did good now he can die peace out) and he died. Jorah’s death was...eh. I don’t even remember who else died, Melisandre at the end, who started the episode by saying she’ll die anyway, so who’s going to be surprised by that? And that was the closing scene for the episode...disappointed sorry not sorry.
Edd died saving Sams’ ass and let me just talk about that for a bit. Sam was out there simply to see shit (my theory is that Sam is the narrator, he definitely stays alive), he was utterly useless, caused Edd to die, had to have at least a few people save his sorry ass from dying. And i’m just annoyed at how predictable this shit is. The crypt thing too. Oooh who would’ve thought that dead people will rise and that includes the ones in the crypt. Like come on...
And now we’ll have 3 episodes of drama and political bullshit because the whole “winter is coming, winter is here” (and in my opinion the most interesting) plotline with the Night King and his army - that was there in *every season* - was finished off in one long-ass episode. An episode that consists of at least 50 minutes of “I can’t see shit what the fuck is going on” pitch black dark scenes. I didn’t mind the fighting, it was just all over the place.
Quite frankly, GOT was really good up until season 5 (or 4, I can’t remember) then it just became plain, flat, simple. I’m only watching this season, cuz I’ve already watched the other 7 (plus i was hoping they’d go out with a bang and this season would be epic, guess i was wrong about that). I don’t care about the Iron Throne, or Cersei, or the shitty elephants, Euron is a boring character too.
“Winter is coming” more like Winter has left the chat. #BringBackWinter
Night king slayer!
