These French Onion Beef Sliders are a delicious twist on classic French onion soup, packed with savory beef, caramelized onions, and Swiss cheese. Perfect for a party or a satisfying dinner.
Ingredients: 1 pound ground beef. 1 large onion, thinly sliced. 2 tablespoons butter. 1 teaspoon olive oil. 1/2 teaspoon salt. 1/4 teaspoon black pepper. 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme. 12 slider buns. 6 slices Swiss cheese. 1/4 cup beef broth. 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce. 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour. 1/4 cup mayonnaise. 1/4 cup sour cream. 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder. 1/2 teaspoon onion powder. 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped for garnish.
Instructions: Warm the butter and olive oil in a big pan over medium-low heat. Add the thinly sliced onions to the pan and stir them around a few times a while. Cook for about 20 minutes, or until they turn caramelized and golden brown. Season the ground beef with salt, pepper, and dried thyme while the onions are getting caramelized. Make 12 small patties out of the beef. In a different pan, cook the beef patties over medium-high heat for two to three minutes on each side, or until they are done the way you like them. Finish cooking each patty and add a slice of Swiss cheese on top. Let the cheese melt. Add the flour and stir it in after the onions have turned caramelized. Add one to two more minutes of cooking to get rid of the taste of raw flour. Add the Worcestershire sauce and beef broth, and keep stirring until the mixture turns into a gravy. Add sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, and mayonnaise to a small bowl. Mix them together to make the aioli sauce. Put some aioli sauce on the bottom half of each slider bun before putting them together. On top of the sauce, put a beef patty with melted Swiss cheese. Then, add a large spoonful of the caramelized onion gravy. To make it look nicer, sprinkle chopped fresh parsley on top. Use a toothpick to hold the top half of the slider bun in place. Enjoy your French Onion Beef Sliders while they're still hot!
