arospeck is a term for people who may technically be on the aromantic spectrum, but feel a disconnect from being aro(spec), do not fully identify with it, do not feel it is important to their identity, or feel a disconnect from the aro(spec) community / experience. they may feel like they are only "kind of" aro(spec).
this may be because: they are (extremely) romance-favourable. they do, or desire to, feel romantic attraction in some way – perhaps feeling that the attraction they do (or desire to) experience outweighs any lack of attraction they have. they may be in (or desire to be in) a relationship where romantic attraction is present. they may feel more alloromantic than aromantic, or connect / identify more with alloromanticism while still being aro(spec). they may be romance-obsessed, romance-focused, they may prioritise romance in their life, or feel like romance is a big or important part of their life or identity. they may not understand romantic attraction / have a complex relationship with it, but also not feel connected to the idea of lacking romantic attraction. they may be romo-aro, cupioromantic, quoiromantic, greyromantic, or any other arospec microlabel in a way where this label resonates.
