*Important please read* I just wanted to give you all a little update, what with the world going a little crazy right now and with a lot of uncertainty at the moment. I’ve been running the Grizzly Jim brand and Grizzly String® full time for around three years now, and the first few years are a crucial period for any new business. Up until now its been a bit of a rollercoaster, but it has genuinely been an amazing time and experience! I’m not going to lie, current world events have got me worried for the immediate future of my business. I've had the majority of my one-on-one coaching sessions canceled, I'm unable to book any seminars, and I’ve just had a large freelance filming job cancelled, so for the time being I'm relying on the few string orders that are coming through. And with the understandably coercive reaction of many archery governing bodies, recommending people stay away from archery for the foreseeable future, things aren’t looking too great at the moment for the world of archery. Now I’m certainly I’m not the only person in this situation right now, which is why in light of current events please don't stop supporting archery businesses during this time (or any other form of small local business for that matter). Because when things get back to normal and they will get back to normal, these little businesses won't be there anymore without your continued support. So right now I’m plugging away with as many string orders as I can, just hoping this will all end sometime soon. Please be kind to each other out there! From an early age I struggled to fit in, I never was quite able to pigeonhole myself. Even now in my Archery career, I struggle to find my place in the world. I’m not really a hunter, I’m not really a tournament archer anymore. I don’t have a tragic origin story, I’m not an attractive lady, I don’t covert drama, I’m not batting adversity, I don’t really even think of myself as a YouTuber. Because of this I’ll never be a megastar, and nor would I want to be. I just have a long-standing passion for Traditional Archery, that’s been an honour to share with you! So here’s to the square pegs in round holes, here’s tho the Maverick renegades. Here’s to being yourself in a world that forces us act and think a certain way Always walk your own path.
I don’t shoot my bow to win competitions nor do I do it to be better than my fellow archers. I don’t shoot my bow to fit in with an outdated rigid way of thinking. I forge my own path. I shoot in a way that suits me. I shoot to escape this world. I shoot to find peace within myself. I shoot my bow to feel free and I shoot my bow to feel strong. I shoot because I love it!
