Sky perked up. His heart fluttered hopefully. "We're seeing Zelda?" "Duh, she has AC." Sky could practically hear the eyeroll. Asshole. Sky lifted their heavy head to glare at him. What the fuck- "What's up with your hair???" Indeed, Groose looked bald without the obnoxious (endearing) pompadour. Damn, his hair's getting long, almost brushing against his huge shoulders. And his roots were growing out. Groose ran a self conscious hand through it, but red strands fell down over his eyes again. "You think I wanna spend an hour gelling and spraying in THIS heat??? Nope, nuh uh, not for Groose," he sighed dramatically. If they didn't know better, Sky would think Groose was offended. "I dunno, it's you," Sky poked his tongue out and let his head flop down again. It was like someone replaced their brain with wet concrete.

Groose and Sky's banter is fun to write. They love eachother, promise :b

-The tiny robot who's in love with Fi and hates Link is my favorite thing of all time. Absolutely brilliant and his theme tune is adorable.

-honestly I kind of understand Groozelink now that I've finished all the imprisoned fights. It's cute. If you have good Groozelink fics throw them my way

-uhhh sooooo yeah I definitely want to explore the goddess manipulating Link into falling in love with Zelda to ensure that he has the necessary drive to complete his destiny. That's a hell of a reveal and I think we should unpack that more???? Again if you've got any recs on that front please shoot them my way!

“Hey, guys! Sorry we’re late,” Sky said as he hopped onto a tall stool. There were already four waters at the table, one of which Sky gratefully took. Twilight had a nearly empty beer and Eras had a plate of lemons he was squeezing into his water. 

“No problem,” Twilight said with a smile.  

“Zelda couldn’t make it?” Eras asked. 

“No, she had to work. She said to tell everyone hi,” Sky said. 

“It worked out. She would’ve embarrassed all of us with her skills,” Groose said. Twilight and Eras laughed, and Sky nodded very seriously. 

“Plus we haven't had any QPR time, lately, just the two of us.” Sky smiled at Groose. If he was a cartoon character, he was pretty sure his eyes would be hearts. 

Groose rolled his eyes and nudged Sky’s arm playfully. “Quit being such a sap.”

Sky slung his arm over Groose’s shoulder. “I’m buttering you up for your glorious defeat.”

“As if.”

Twilight chuckled, shaking his head and crossing his arms. “You think either of you will stand a chance against me?” 

Eras rolled his eyes and leaned in, throwing a thumb over his shoulder at Twilight. “This was the whole way here,” he mock-whispered. 

“Oh, don’t give me that. This morning you said, and I quote, ‘It’s cute that you think you’ll do better than me.’”

“I don’t recall that.”

I've been steadily forcing myself to write 200 words every day despite a lot of issues going on and Hear Ye, Hear Ye... Grooselink fic probably dropping this weekend.

Or a couple of days after. I'm trying.
