β§Β Welcome to my corner of the Hellaverse <3 This is a space for unfiltered thoughts, obsessive analysis & deep lore speculation [ with little to no evidence, of course... ] If youβre here, youβve probably spiraled down the same Hellaverse rabbit hole. I cover everything Hazbin Hotel & Helluva Boss. I tag everything as best I can [ even the rants & salt ] so you can curate your experience. Askbox is open, so feel free to yell, scream, or drop your hottest takes. I love hearing alternate theories, especially when they make me rethink my own. Feel free to call me GG / any pronouns are fine. WARNING: This blog is not spoiler or leak free! This space is 18+ only,
I try not to get lost in microscopic design reads, because not every frame is lore, but this one keeps catching my eye. Compare βLilithβ in Charlie's flashback here to Eveβs design in the book. Focus on the crown of the head: the pointed silhouette, the sharp breaks in the hairline. Those points match what weβve seen on the (as far as we know) real Lilith. Eveβs hair doesnβt form that shape; her silhouette is rounder & lacks those pronounced tips...
The visual language is doing a lot of quiet work here. The hair gradients alone are telling; Lilith shifts blonde to pink, Roo shifts brown to red. Pilot-era Lilithβs red sclera with white irises mirrors (old design) Rooβs eyes almost exactly. Then thereβs Rosieβs Emporium reading as R.E. β βRoot (of all) Evil,β which feels intentional. In the pilot photos, βLilithβsβ gaze toward Charlie reads as disapproving: cool, appraising, almost clinical. The expressions lacks familiarity or reassurance & suggests lack of attachment. Iβm increasingly convinced that Roo (whether manifesting as Rosie, Eve, or some overlap of the three) is Charlieβs actual mother. The visual overlap isnβt subtle; the image of Lilith wearing the same dress as Rosie? Hello?
Hot take: I really donβt think Evil/Roo & Eve look alike. The similarities people usually cite stop at surface-level, but once you actually compare the designs, the differences outweigh the overlap. The silhouettes arenβt the same at all: Rooβs shape is sharp, exaggerated, & predatory, while Eveβs is softer & more contained. The hair: the structure, volume, & framing around the face donβt match, & they communicate very different presences. Even the smiles arenβt doing the same work; one reads as performative & unsettling, the other doesnβt carry that same threat. The reds are different hues / shades. To me, itβs always felt like the show wants a snap association on first glance.

I just noticed this & honestly, I feel ridiculous for not catching it sooner. I genuinely think Vaggie was meant to reflect [ perhaps even echo? ] the Speaker. Maybe she was supposed to be her successor, but something changed & was repurposed [ remembering how Vaggie referred to herself as the failure ] β Whatever the case, I donβt trust the Speaker; sheβs too kind, too distant. Not once does she offer Sera tangible help or real guidance,
The way Lute stands behind Seraβ¦ & then Speaker; it mirrors that same visual setup; I canβt put it together just yet. Despite her βwarmβ demeanor, Speaker offers only cold abstraction. When Sera pleads for atonement, for direction, sheβs met with platitudes: βEvery transgression must serve as a lesson [ β¦ ] You must bear the cross bestowed upon you,β These arenβt words of comfort or redemption; she says it so sweetly, sounds so genuine but it's outright dismissal & blame dressed as doctrineβ¦ Some foul shit is going on here,
Something I think often goes unquestioned [ even by myself ] is the assumption that Abel died first. Itβs canon to the Bible, so it's almost treated as a given when applying it to Hazbinβs universe. But Viv is clearly reworking biblical lore in her own way. Itβs already been confirmed by Sera that Adam was the first soul in Heaven, which raises a real question: what if he never lived much longer past that point? What if thatβs why he still looks so young? & now that we know Abel wasnβt even Adamβs favorite, itβs making me reconsider what else weβve accepted by default. Maybe Abel didnβt die first; maybe Adam died first...
Honestly, I agree! Itβs a bit frustrating how little thought seems to go into that side of the writing. That said, Iβm still holding out a bit of hope that there might be some interesting things planned. Who knows, maybe something will surprise us!
ok so, we know that we havenβt seen Luteβs backstory yet(if she even has one), and many people have been making up theories so hereβs my theory on her. this might be a little far-fetched and this might not have actual things that could back this up and itβs just my delulu but oh well. the theory i thought of, is what if Lute is actually Adamβs third wife but no one fucking knows?
like yea at first it sounds crazy, but hear me out. we know that Adam is like a misogynist right? but he seems to respect Lute, and only Lute alone so far. the other woman that he respected was Sera, and it was probably because βoh yea she is my boss respect.β but Lute was underneath him, and followed his orders as lieutenant, but also made sure he doesnβt fuck up. plus he even let her climb over his shoulder in βyou didnβt knowβ, and basically theyβre just so goddamn very close and in sync.
so, what if the reason theyβre like this is because Lute is a heavenborn exorcist, created from God directly as a gift or a last chance for Adam. he made her like this so Adam has someone to get along with, and he gave her will if she wishes to leave, but she doesnβt and stays loyal.
so the theory here is that Lute was made as a secret third wife for Adam(secret as in Lute herself didnβt know this as well) and basically nobody knows that. they just think that Lute is really really fucking loyal to Adam(and while, yes she is), i think this could be a nice explanation but i think my delulu took over and i brainrotted too much about guitarspear.

In a nutshell, here is what Iβm arguing: Abel is not Adamβs biological son, & his existence reframes everything we understand about Adamβs legacy. If Abel came from Eve & Lucifer, then Adamβs claim to moral authority collapses. Sin came from his line.
Itβs been confirmed that Abel was not Adamβs favorite son... that heβs nothing like him, heβs pleasant & βis his own rockstarβ. In the leaked episode, we see that heβs also soft-spoken, polite, & generally more joyful. In contrast, Adam is a narcissist: vulgar, sexist, fanatical, disgusted by sinners, & fully willing to kill them for sport. He displays a restrained yet persistent fixation on punishment [ I say restrained because I donβt feel heβs as obsessed compared to Lute. ] He doesnβt merely fight sinners: he enjoys it, & he makes that clear to Charlie in S1E1 [ βAnd for those of us with divine ordainment, Extermination is entertainment!β ].
In the same [ leaked ] episode, Abel shows very little concern over his fatherβs death. He acknowledges it, makes a cross gesture, & says βRest in Peaceβ during Sir Pentiousβs trial, butβ¦ thatβs about it. In contrast, Lute is visibly shaken & furious. Adamβs death is clearly destroying her both mentally & emotionally. When she snaps, βAdam never even fucking liked you!β Abel simply agrees, saying βI know π₯Ίβ before quickly redirecting the conversation to Sir Pentious, showing more interest in how a sinner was redeemed than in processing the loss of his father. Later, he even joins in singing with Emily & Saint Peter during Sir Pentiousβs introduction to Heaven, behaving as if nothing is wrong. This boy gives no care about his father's death [ in my opinion ]
Itβs worth noting that Abel is formally named the new commander of the Exorcists [ effectively demoting Lute. A decision made by both Emily & Sera since he is seen as more fair, ] & he seems just a little smug when confirming this to her. [ Thereβs also a brief, strange smirk before he departs, which might support the circulating rumor that heβs βa little shit,β but more on that another time. ] Later, he casually asks for one of Adamβs guitars βto remember him by,β but the tone is so nonchalant, calm & even pleasant, like Adamβs death wasnβt something that affected him in the slightest. [ Lute screams at him to leave, which he does. She performs her song, & when she looks toward the door, she catches Abel watching who looks shocked, likely because, from his perspective, sheβs destroyed Adamβs office like a crazy person while singing along with a hallucination. ]
Despite the fact that we donβt have the real Adam around [ seemingly, ] we can tell by Abelβs behavior & general attitude that their relationship was strained to some degree. Thereβs no grief, mourning or reverence. When he agrees that Adam never liked him, thereβs no bitterness either. It feels like he accepted long ago that he was never truly wanted, & now that Adamβs gone, heβs simply moving on, maybe even relieved. He doesnβt carry Adamβs wrath, fire, or ideological rigidity. Thereβs irony in that: the new leader of the Exorcists doesnβt care about punishment or vengeance. When Sera asks how Heaven should respond to Hell, Abel says: βI donβt much like confrontation, so I donβt love the idea of going down for revenge or anythingβ¦ buuut they did sorta kinda kill my dad a little bit soβ¦ maybe? Iβm pretty okay with either option to be honest.β Luteβs hallucination of Adam reinforces the point: βI never liked that kid,β before calling Abel a βmajor pussy.β
One theory suggests that Abel is the product of Eve & Lucifer. There are religious texts & interpretations, particularly in some strands of Jewish mysticism & early Christian apocrypha, that suggest Eve slept with the serpent [ Satan ]. In some readings of the Zohar & Talmudic Midrashim, the serpent isnβt just a deceiver, heβs a sexual tempter, implying Cain [ or by extension, Abel ] may have been fathered by a corrupting, external force. Notice the βeating out gestureβ Lucifer makes when referencing Lilithβ¦ but when it comes to Eve, he switches to the other gesture & thatβs when Adam gets really mad. Lucifer is often not given enough credit, in my opinion. Yes, heβs nicer, heβs trying to be a good father to Charlie, & heβs painted as good, kind, & βmisunderstoodββ¦ but heβs still the literal devil. Fandom often prefers to uphold the previously established dynamic between him & Lilith [ that theyβre like Morticia & Gomez, that heβs only ever fallen for her & wouldnβt cheat on her β which, he didnβt have to in order to sleep with Eve, but I digress... ] & thatβs exactly why many dismiss the idea that he would ever sleep with Eve in the first place. But I donβt personally believe that gesture was truly random or simply a provocation for its own sake. Perhaps Lucifer is implying something Adam refuses to acknowledge. He hit a sore spot, & I donβt think heβs referring to the fruit.
Another popular theory is that Adam didnβt eat the fruit [ βIβve never made a mistake in my fucking life!β ] But if that statement is just an attempt to paint himself as untouchable & unfallen, then his hatred of sinners may stem from personal failure. The first true sinner after Eve wasnβt an outsider; it was Cain, a child from his bloodline, & if Abel was indeed not his child, then Abelβs existence becomes more than a disappointment, it becomes a direct challenge to Adamβs authority over creation, legacy & spiritual purity. In that context, Adam doesnβt hate sinners simply because they defy Heaven; he hates them because they reflect his inability to enforce control. They remind him that sin began inside his own house.
Abel being Luciferβs son reframes everything. Adam was never the sole architect of mankind, nor the moral gatekeeper he claims to be. The order he fought to preserve was already fractured. Thereβs a reason he calls Charlie & her group, βYou ungrateful, disgusting, fucking LOSERS!β with such vitriol, such hate & disgust. That wasnβt just him lashing out in the moment; it was absolutely personal & full of genuine contempt. It also exposes a contradiction: if Adam truly despises sin, if his hatred for impurity is so absolute, then why would he favor Cain, the first true sinner after Eve, over Abel, who was pleasant, joyful, & seemingly harmless? Unless what truly enrages him is the fact that sin came from his bloodline, while that true / genuine goodness Abel possesses may have come from Lucifer, who he calls βthe most hated in all of creation!β While mankind, which he furiously reminds everyone βcame from these fucking nuts!β turned out disgusting, sinful, & imperfect.
Abel is the reminder that Adam may have been the beginning, but he was never meant to be the blueprint. Why did Adam reject him? Why would a man obsessed with purity favor a murderer over the brother who did nothing wrong? Why would he call Abel a coward, when he was the one murdered by a sinner? Maybe Adam didnβt reject Abel because he was weak. Maybe he rejected him because he wasnβt his. He claims dominion over all of humanity, yet speaks of it with nothing but contempt. Maybe he never had control. Maybe thatβs why heβs so desperate to erase the reminder [ sinners, ] & why Exterminations are βfunβ for him.
To recap: Abel is confirmed to be nothing like Adam β heβs calm, soft-spoken, pleasant & generally uninterested in punishment. He doesnβt inherit his fatherβs wrath or fixation on judgment. If Abel isnβt biologically Adamβs son, it implies that sin, violence, & control may be tied to Adamβs bloodline, while empathy, grace, & the capacity for redemption could stem from an outside force, potentially Lucifer. Maybe thatβs part of why Adam never accepted him: not necessarily because he was weak, but because he was never his.
No but actually Iβm genuinely annoyed at Striker being βdumbβ?
Obviously he wasnβt dumb in his debut episode but it feels like such a snide insult on the creatorsβ part to make a joke of this character β who initially had a fair point about mistreatment by the upper class β and turn him into a βsupramacistβ who should be laughed at for being uneducated π.
I firmly believe the only reason why striker is like this is cause Norman isn't voicing him I will die on the hill if Norman was still voicing him he wouldn't be treated this way
This is why Adam is always wearing a mask and loose clothes, HE FELT ASHAMED OF HIS BODY.
For those who are not familiar with the creation myths of Adam and Eve, after being expelled from paradise, they became ashamed of their bodies (like, they walked around naked in the garden, with no shame about it). Anyway, that's why I think Adam wears a mask and loose clothes all the TIME, even when he's eating and drinking. only in a fight against the lord of hell to "take off" the mask.
