CAN WE TALK ABOUT SOME OF THESE CAMERA ANGLES AND LIGHTING THO!?!?
I swear I paused this episode and rewinded so many times to get some pictures of this fucking golden art, like holy shit.
Listen, Loo Loo land with its green fire and animatronics was hot as shit, but goddamn, the glowing eyes, the shift in color pallets as thing turned worse and worse, and just the angles the characters were portrayed in really made this episode.
For example - as much as I love Hazbin Hotel, the overall color pallet stated the same and the camera angles (while still very good!) were partially basic. I still love it all the same, but it’s definitely clear where Vivzie and her crew had their start.
But as each new episode of Helluva Boss gets released, it becomes clearer and clearer how much each and every artist has improved, and how theirs skills and decision making get better and better. From the color-pallets, to the camera angles, to even the more intricate character designs, it just really highlights how amazing the animators and artists are.
There’s nothing more satisfying than witnessing an artists improvement, and I’m beyond excited to be here for it!
Check out part one if you haven’t yet! it’s right here!
that day, after Charlie and Vaggie had found both you and Alastor sleeping in the library, neither one had let you two live it down
“ oh come on y/n! please! just tell me! do you like him?”
“ leave me be Charlie, i have things to do and answering your questions isn’t on my agenda for today.”
“ ugh! but y/n-“
“ no no, save your whining.”
throughout the day you had avoided Alastor, Charlie and Vaggie as much as you could, deciding not to answer any questions Vaggie or Charlie decided to spring onto you
the hotel was coming along nicely, and as the day was coming to an end you had one more thing that needed to be done
little did anyone know you were in charge of custom designing the hotel staffs rooms, each room accustomed to every person working in the hotel
as the big revela came, everyone was standing at the beginning of the hallway, while you were at the end of it.
doors were on both sides of the hall, opening to their rooms
everyone was hesitant when opening their room doors, aside from Alastor who just whipped the door open.
taking in the design on his room, the walls were decorated in different shades of red, small accents of black and a few hints of white here and there. there was a desk, a few chairs, nice carpeting and a large bed, as well as what seemed to be an old record player.
everyone had seemed to be fawning over their rooms, and while you stood their, listening to everyone’s complements on your designing, Alastor had simply stood in the doorway of his room, simply gazing at you
eventually, everyone had decided to retire for the night, but, you had someone you needed to speak to.
standing in front of alastor’s door, you knocked two times, before waiting.
finally, the door had opened, revealing Alastor himself.
“ why hello dear, is something the matter?”
“ actually yes, i need to show you something. i think you’ll find it very interesting.”
you take Alastor through a few halls and it’s then he realizes that you know the full and complete layout of the hotel… so where were you taking him?
the longer you both had walked the more anxious and antsy Alastor was getting.
finally, you both had made it to the very bottom of the hotel, adding an extra floor underneath the whole thing
“ what is this dear?”
“ this down here, leads to my home. follow me.”
you both walk down what seems to be a long hall, before you both reach a door, and when you open it, your both met with a large room, the walls in black and white tiles. in the center of the room, is a suit. it’s colors swirl in extravagant patterns.
there’s a long couch on the side of the room, in the center is a large white fur rug, a fire place in front of it, and a see through glass closet next to the fire place. in the farthest corner of the room, is a large bed. a large, dog bed, where three Dalmatians lay on top of, sound asleep.
alastor stands there, taking in the room. there’s a record playing, jazz music, as you make your way to sit on the couch.
“ well don’t just stand there, take it.” you gesture towards the suit.
