Imagine you and Loki planning out a special dinner at your house. (Homestyle comfort food? Exotic cuisine from another culture? Author’s call. Anyway.) Upon finding that you’re out of a few key ingredients, you send him to the grocery store to get whatever you’re missing.

Meanwhile, you stay at home and get everything else prepared. Since he has a little difficulty finding *exactly* what you need, he’s gone for a while.

Not that you fully notice. You’ve had a trusty playlist to keep you company since he left the house.

When Loki returns, he finds you in the kitchen, starting on dessert. He’s less than surprised (but endearingly amused) to see that you are simultaneously singing and dancing along to Heart’s “Magic Man.”

He sets down the ingredients he’s retrieved and your latest concoction before pulling you close into a quirky, fast-paced sort of waltz.

He kisses you and proceeds to cheekily ask you, “Did you miss your magic man?”
