Is it just me or do these ships give of the same vibes.
Love the combination of a confident bisexual and a bi/gay panic. Resulting in a angsty confession scene:

HIStory (2017- )
Ok, I know it’s toxic but the scene where Xingsi said “You were too aggressive and you scared Muren away” and Licheng is trying to defend himself with “I wasn’t too aggressive! I just kissed him and licked his lips and told him I loved him” and Yongjie was nodding in the background like “Seems reasonable” is PEAK comedy
Currently Airing Asian Dramas I’m Watching:
Vincenzo (SK)
9.5/10
A lawyer in the Italian mafia flees home to South Korea, where he fights against his corrupt surroundings. Oh I am so in love with this drama. The action scenes are perfect, it’s hilarious, the romance is adorable and the villain is terrifying. Every episode I’m left in shock. (ep10/20)
1000 Stars (Thai)
10/10
A volunteer teacher dies in a tragic accident, her heart is transplanted into rich party boy, Tian. Tian decides to follow in his donors footsteps. This is a beautiful heartwarming and heart crushing drama. The longing looks between Tian and the Chief are the best I’ve ever seen. But it’s also about learning to love life. (ep8/10)
How to Be Thirty (SK)
7.5/10
3 friends in their 30s navigate their romantic relationships and careers. The romances in this web series are too cute. My favourite has to be Hanis little noona romance she has. The lead’s are also very sweet, first loves reunited after years is a trope I love. (ep8/15)
Lovely Writer (Thai)
8.5/10
A BL authors novel is turned into a drama, the lead in the drama takes a liking to the author. I wasn’t that excited for this drama to air and I didn’t love the first 3 episodes, but episode 4 was perfect! The couple finally really works for me - their chemistry! It also does make some really important points about the toxicity of the BL industry. (ep5/12)
Mouse (SK)
8.5/10
20yrs ago a serial killer called HeadHunter was locked away. Now a new serial killer is at large, is it the Headhunters son? My feelings on this drama change every episode, but I think I like it. Ep1 in particular is terrifying and ep5 is really creative and suspenseful. Lee Jae Hoon as the lead is just insanely good. (ep6/20)
Word of Honor (C)
9/10
A past royal assassin and the leader of the Ghost Valley meet and go on a quest together. It’s one of those censored BL book adaptations. It’s the first one I’ve ever seen. And the story can be kind of hard to keep track of but I’m loving it. Also the lead’s chemistry is just insane - what censorship? And Wen KeXing’s one of my favourite characters ever. (ep17/36)
Be My Boyfriend (SK)
7/10
A popular girls ex-boyfriend won’t leave her alone, so she enters into a fake relationship with a boy who’s always liked her.I have such a soft spot for silly little webseries like this. It’s just so adorable, the lead’s are too cute, it’s also very cliched and a bit of a mess, but I don’t care. (ep7/15)
HiStory4: Close To You (Taiw)
8/10
The 8th instalment in the HiStory anthology series. A guy has a crush on a girl obsessed with BL, his friend and him start a fake relationship hoping it’ll get her attention. The HiStory franchise has created some of my all time favourite series and yet I wasn’t looking forward to this one, but it’s much better than I thought and I like the main couple a lot. (ep4/20)
Navillera (SK)
9.5/10
A 23yr old struggling ballerina is instructed to teach a 70yr old man ballet. I’ve only seen the first episode but it’s perfection. I wept throughout it. It’s shot so cinematically and it’s overflowing with emotions. It’s really about people chasing their dreams. And Song Kang is just brilliant in the lead role too. (ep1/12)
We Best Love: Fighting Mr. Second (Taiw)
10/10
In the 2nd series the leads have been apart for 5 yrs. One is determined to win back the other, whilst the other is determined to never forgive him. The 1st season is one of my favourites it’s so wholesome and adorable, but the second season is filled with angst and even better. The 2nd couple is so interesting and the the lead’s chemistry is heart fluttering. (ep3/6)
very normal “bro” behavior... +
This was the best fucking scene!!!
Muren being like “i’m worried about xingsi right now I don’t have time for this shit”
Li cheng shocked and delighted
Li cheng’s little stumble when muren lets him go
The shocked faces of all the employees
Muren stalking away and li cheng following after him like a little puppy
This scene was just so perfect, 20/10
It's quite funny how people don't even try to understand the depth of this show.
All I can see here, on tumblr, is how Hsing Ssu and Yung Chieh relationship is toxic. But have you ever tried to really understand those characters? Have you seen how many things here really makes sense? This show is not as bad as many of you thinks. But you need to understand what they really tries to show us, if you open your mind, you can be surprised how good this show is, really.
HIStory always tries to go for difficult matters, it didn't change at all with HIStory4.
But you know what? It's like with WBL. If you don't try to understand characters, you can really miss a lot from the show and many things doesn't makes sense. For example, if you don't try to read into Shu Yi character, you can't understand why tf he could forgive Shi De.
