Y'all I auditioned for this one honors class for next year. Chamber choir. Just a more advanced choir class. And results came back today. I GOT IN IM SO HAPPY!!!!!

Honors classes have the wildest stories. I have stories about chickens (both alive and a gallon bag full of meat), bingo without the teacher’s knowledge, aquatic stds and so much more bullshit. We really do get away with so much more

Celiac Disease

It is crazy to me how a person’s body will attack itself just for coming into contact with gluten. <y biology teacher in high school had Celiac disease, but I never really understood the full extent of what that meant until this week. people with this disease have to be super careful with what they eat, because a small trace of cross contamination can make them sick. I am glad I understand this better so that I can be more empathetic when I meet others with Celiac Disease.

That initiating a discussion with me from across the room about why I don’t have a computer, in front of a room full of classmates who DO have computers, is something that is very counterproductive to my attempts to try to fit in with my wealthier and more privileged peers. Do you really expect an honest discussion about this when you’ve forced us to talk with 30 students in between us? I gain nothing by admitting my poverty. Of course I’m going to blame it on my little brother being in his terrible two stage. Your look of skepticism won’t change my answer. I’m trying my hardest to pass as a regular student here.
