"Suna, what the actual fuck?" You croaked, struggling to open your eyes.

Calling you at an ungodly hour, you didn't have to look at your phone to know who it was.

A few seconds passed, but there was no response from the other line.

You groaned, "If this is a prank-"

"I like you." Suna whispered ever so softly you weren't sure if you heard him right.

You blinked. Once, twice, as your heart and mind processed his words. All the grogginess in your body; gone in an instant.

"What?"

"What?" He echoed, confused.

"What did you say?"

"I didn't say anything."

"But-but you said... you said something!"

"I didn't?" Suna bemused, and you can hear the frown in his voice.

"You did! You just said you like me!"

"I swear I didn't."

You got up from your bed and stared at the screen; your heart beating eratically in your ears as Suna's name and picture flashed before your eyes.

You knew what you heard. You weren't gonna let Suna fool you.

You took a deep breath and explained patiently, "You called me, Suna. And the first thing you said was 'I like you'-"

"I like you too."

"Huh?"

"Please take care of me."

"What?!"

"I'm so sorry, that was so lame." You heard a muffled groan, like he just covered his face with a pillow. "If you're gonna reject me because of that, please do it now. I might cry if you reject me in person. I'm serious."

Suna paused to pluck up his courage, you could even hear him gulp. "But I really do like you, Y/n. I like-I love being with you... I hope you know and feel that when you're with me." He cleared his throat, "And... it's okay if you don't answer or if you don't like me back. Just... please let me be with you, but if you don't want to-"

"I didn't know you could say that much words, Suna."

The middle blocker sighed, exasperated. "... That's just mean Y/n. I'm so close to crying here."

"Hey, you called me at 3 am, confessed to me and pretended you didn't. You were mean first you know..." You trailed off, feeling the heat rise to your cheeks, "But I like you too."

"Huh?"

"Huh?"

"What did you-"

You suppressed a giggle, "I didn't say anything."

With that, Suna went panic mode. "Just so you know my heart is beating like I'm at the edge of a cliff right now, and I'm recording this call because I know you'd pull the same stunt with me, Y/n."

He was frantic. You could imagine his fox-like eyes getting bigger as he spoke. Suna always acts cool and laid back, it was satisfying to see him break character for once. And knowing it was because of you, his feelings for you... your heart might just explode.

A giddy laugh escaped your mouth, "I can't believe I like your annoying ass too.”

kissing comes easily with miya atsumu. he loves to pepper kisses all over your face, your hands, your wrist, and your lips.

most, if not all the time, you let him kiss you. you do enjoy his kisses and you bask in his affections whenever he gave it.

miya atsumu was viewed as cocky, arrogant and sometimes annoying to most people but they don't get to see this side of him. the pouty, grabby hands, affectionate ‘tsumu you adore.

when he came home late after practice – grouchy and grumbly – he immediately migrated to the bedroom without even taking a shower or changing his clothes and you knew instantly that he had a rough day.

if anything, his groaning and mumbling made you chuckle with the subtle ways he's asking for your attention.

“everything alright, tsum?”

“yeah, everythin's fine.”

you cringed slightly. ooh, snappy.

you know just the thing to do with that. you moved closer to where he was sprawled out on top of the bed, sitting beside him as you watched him glared daggers on the ceiling.

“if you stared any harder, you'll melt our ceiling, babe.” you teased, hand creeping up to brush away the hair from his forehead.

you smiled when he leaned closer to your touch, a small whine escaping his lips.

“i just had the worst day.” he huffed, one of his arms coming up to wrap around your waist and you let him coax you into laying down beside your baby of a boyfriend.

“aw, i'm sorry, tsum-tsum.” you cooed, continuing your ministrations on his hair. you noticed that some of his strands are losing the blonde, reverting back to their original chocolate hue.

“you can make it all better, though.”

“oh yeah? how?”

“hmm,” he pretended to think hard about it, “ah! i know! you can...kiss me here.”

you raised an eyebrow at him.

“because it hurts when the guys accidentally hit it during practice!” he whined, pointing at his cheek as he pouted.

sighing, you gave in and shook your head.

“alright, you big baby, i'll kiss it better for you.”

you gave the apple of his cheek a smooch which he giggled at, but played it cool and told you it hurt. he pointed at his other cheek.

“there too?” he nodded. you planted another kiss on his cheek and this time, atsumu had a big grin on his lips, his mood seemingly have lifted by your kisses.

“all better now?” you cupped both of his cheeks on your hands as he stared up at you with those eyes you always loved.

“there's one more.” he whispered, puckering his lips.

you snorted, rolling your eyes before leaning in and capturing his lips with yours in a sweet kiss that made him moan in relief.

“there, satisfied now?”

you laid down with your head on his chest, the rapid thumping of his heart matching your own made you smile.

atsumu squeezed you closer with his arm wrapped around you, a chuckle gently shaking your form.

“very.”

"Psst. Babe."

Silence. You pout, bringing your hand up to lightly pinch his cheek.

"Baby," you whisper, louder this time. He scrunches his nose and flinches away from you, a small groan leaving his lips. Excitement bursts from you in the form of a quiet gasp, and you shimmy yourself closer to your sleeping boyfriend, wrapping your hands around his own.

"I want crème caramel” He furrowed his brows, eyes still closed.

"What time is it?" Osamu buries his face deeper into the pillow, squeezing back when he feels you squeeze his hands.

"Late. Well - early, technically, but we can just eat it for breakfast?" He popped one eye open to look at you.

"We don't have crème caramel, baby." You grinned.

“But we have eggs, and....other stuff. Probably.”

“...you want to bake a crème caramel, from scratch, at-” he lifts his head and squints at the alarm clock on your nightstand. “- three o’clock in the morning?”

You nod, far too vigorously for the ungodly hour, and you're met with with a contemplative stare. The anticipation was getting to you, and you had to physically hold yourself back from whining and wiggling in an attempt to wring an answer out of him sooner than he was ready to. The sudden warmth on your knuckles brought your attention downward, and your chest warmed at the sight of his fingers absentmindedly ghosting across your skin.

He sighs.

"Ya lucked out, I think we've got everything we need," He says, finally, and his voice is still laced with sleep and you find your heart warming at the unusually gruff tone.

"Did you seriously just take inventory in your head?" He cracks a smile at your tired giggle, reaching down to pinch your side as you let out a soft squeal.

"Do ya want it or no?" You nod, your fingers swiping across your lips, mimicking a zipper. He chuckles and throws the covers off, moving to sit upright while he slowly lets the sleep drip away from him. The moonlight filters through the room, enveloping him in a soft, luminescent glow. Your eyes trail along his back, mapping out each mole and freckle as if they were constellations, and he was an entire universe. He was the kind of person people write stories about, you think. You feel your breath hitch, and you shudder - because the amount of love you felt for him was monumental; and sometimes it overflowed, poured out of you like molten gold. It was times like these that you wanted nothing more than to just hold him, have him look at you like he always did - the soft expression that seemed to say "you are my world".

You reach your hand out and trailed a finger from one freckle to the next, slowly dancing up his back. Osamu shivers under your touch and turns to look at you, his eyes soft, and smile sweet.

"What's up, baby?" You shake your head, wordlessly reaching out for his hand, pulling him back into bed. You were scared to speak, afraid your emotions would spill all over the bed, and ruin the moment you were so desperate to have.

He let you guide him, sinking back into the warmth of the bed as his body enveloped you, lips trailing the side of your face until they reached your own.

"What happened to crème caramel?" You hum against his lips, hands snaking into his hair as his grip on your waist tightened, pulling you flush against him.

"It can wait till morning."

The space next to you was empty; the mattress cold.

You rubbed the sleep from your eyes and rolled over to check the time. The numbers glared back you, the red glow the only source of light in the otherwise dark bedroom.

It was too early for him to be up getting ready for practice, so where was he?

You tugged a sweater on and softly shuffled out into the living room of your shared apartment. When you saw the tv off and still no sign of him, you wondered if maybe he just couldn't sleep and went out for a jog to tire himself out.

As you turned around to return to the warm solitude of your bed, a hitched breath stopped you. You spun around and followed the sound, a slight urgency to your feet as they padded against the floor.

Oikawa lay shirtless on the cold tiles of the kitchen floor, shivering and hyperventilating as he crumpled in on himself. You rushed to his side at an instant, curling your body around him as you cradled his head to your chest.

"Shh, hey, Tooru, what's wrong baby?"

He wasn't crying, but he wasn't okay. He trembled, his shallow breaths shaking through his freezing body. His eyes were unfocused and he clung to you as you raked your fingers through his hair and whispered affirmations through lips pressed to his forehead.

The two of you stayed on the floor as long as he needed, his breaths slowly beginning to align with yours while you filled the silence with mundane stories to help take his mind off of whatever plagued him.

He moved his head to look up at you, and you saw tears rim his eyes as they bored into your own.

"Am I enough?"

The question startled you, and you felt yourself scoff in disbelief as you cupped his cheeks and brought your face closer to him, brows pinched together with a frown.

"Tooru, you are more than enough. Never forget that." He nodded, weakly, and you felt the tears hit your fingers as he nuzzled into your touch. You used your thumb to wipe them away and pressed your lips against his brow in silent affirmation.

He unwound himself from you then, picking himself up so he was more upright than before. He took your face in his hands and you relished in the feeling of how gentle he was with you - how he always handled you like you were made of glass.

"Kiss me," he whispered, still choked up and breathless, and you were more than happy to oblige; hands resting on his forearms as you leaned it to capture his lips with your own.

You felt him smile against your lips, and you sighed into him, soaking in the love that seemed to seep out of him through every kiss, every touch, every soft 'I love you' that fell past his lips. He peppered you with kisses as the both of you fell into a fit of soft, breathy chuckles, and you felt him melt beneath your touch as exhaustion washed over him post panic attack.

You helped him back to bed, and he pulled you down into the warmth of the sheets, enveloping you into his arms with a soft "Thank you, Y/n." You hummed, lulling him to sleep, and you smiled at the sound of his steady breathing, relishing him for all he was, all he is, and all he will be.

[ 11:45 P.M ]

“tsumu, where are we going?”

“none of yer business, now shut it!”

“… it is my business if you’re dragging me there!”

“yeah but it’s a surprise!”

miya atsumu had this habit. the habit of finding places in random locations, simply by accident most times, that he thought you would just love. as your best friend, he prided himself in being able to take you to the most beautiful places; watching someone fall in love with the scenery around them was something he never knew he needed… until you.

currently, you found yourself climbing a staircase in a random apartment building. you were almost positive that you didn’t know anyone who lived here— so what on earth was atsumu up to?

“tsumu,” you began to complain as you reached the top of the stairwell.

atsumu shushed you once more, suddenly turning to face you, “we’re almost there… but i need you to close your eyes now.”

quirking an eyebrow at him, you crossed your arms over your chest in faux annoyance, “are you about to lead me into a death trap or something you brat?”

“yer the brat! just trust me, and give me your damn hands y/n!”

you rolled your eyes at your friend, always so dramatic when you took the time to tease him. closing your eyes, you didn’t even have time to hold your hands out as atsumu immediately took them into his. his fingers laced between yours, creating a… more intimate atmosphere.

atsumu’s palms felt sweaty against your skin, and you couldn’t tell if it was from the previous MSBY match, or nerves. you decided it was the game, due to him having no reason to be nervous around you.

… then again, you felt your nerves wash over you.

the metal door creaked open loudly, and a cool breeze immediately enveloped you into a tight hug. were you on the roof of the building now? you couldn’t tell, but you were assuming once again. being blinded forced you to use all of your other senses. you could almost smell the approaching rain, and hear the honking car horns on the streets below.

more importantly, you could feel the shakiness in atsumu’s hands now. so it is nerves, you told yourself. your anxiety began to grow, unsure about how the scenario would take a turn. surely, you were overthinking. it was just the once unrequited feelings that you felt making a reappearance.

“open your eyes.”

moving away from your sight of vision, he stepped to the side and allowed you to take in the beautiful roof garden that made him think of you. the bright cityscape in the background illuminated each of the plants, and overgrown vines. it was breathtaking.

before you could wander off to explore the rooftop, atsumu grabbed your hand once more and turned you to face him— the spot that he touched burned your skin, and could feel the pit in your stomach began to twist and smother you in a damning heat.

a shaky hand held tighter onto your hand, and the other encased the side of your face with the most gentle touch you could’ve imagined from him. you wanted to speak, to ask the question you had been dying to know the answer to… but instead, atsumu placed his lips on yours in a kiss that defined your new relationship with one another.

“y/n. . .”

“i love you too.” you beat him to the punch, your eyes threatening to water at the feelings rushing through your body.

miya atsumu, you’ll be the death of me one day.

Kuroo can’t help but to smile as he watches you work on your homework, a groan leaving you as you erratically erase whatever you had just written down. “I can help you, you know,” he offers, that usual smirk of his on his face. You don’t even have to look up from your work to know that it’s there. 

“Nope. I’m good. I can do it,” you reply confidently before starting to work on the problem for the third time. Hey, third time’s the charm, right? 

Kuroo only chuckles at you before going quiet, gleefully going back to watching you trying to figure it out. Your brows are practically knitted together, your nose is wrinkled, and, occasionally, you’ll chew on the end of your pencil. He definitely uses that as an excuse to stare at your mouth. 

You two just started being study buddies a couple of weeks ago, so he hasn’t worked up the nerve to kiss you or ask you out yet, but he will. One day.

your room was dim and cold with the door open wide, the curtains were closed shut, your and hinata's belongings were cluttered everywhere yet neither of you are in the room.

the sink is filled with unwashed dishes waiting to be scrubbed, after eating a flavorful dinner an hour ago you both immediately lay on the couch and smile as if it's already the best dinner you've had in your life, and forgetting about everything.

you both are now sitting on the couch in the living room— to be specific, you're sitting in between his legs and wrapping yours around his waist, facing each other as you both played chopsticks.

a wide smile plastered on hinata's face while you kept growing frustrated because you just know he's gonna beat you in this game, he loves you, the time he's spending with you, anything and everything about you even the face you're making right now, he finds it cute.

"what would you do if I had to go overseas for a year, y/n?" he questioned you out of the blue, lips forming into a pout as continues to play. "I would die of boredom, sho" you replied, eyes not moving from the sight of his hands, "what made you ask that?–" you lightly hit his left hand—two fingers up—with your right hand—four fingers up. he put down a finger with his index remaining, "nothing" the boy said as he touched the middle finger of your right hand, a big grin appeared on his face.

he let out tiny giggles and simultaneously leaned over to engulf you into his embrace, "you wash the dishes now, princess" he whispered as he bury his head in the crook of your neck, "fine, but before that let's stay like this for a little while" and with that he hummed and tightened his hold on you.
