Also can we just talk about how Silver Wolf is the Sung Jin Woo of Punklorde? On a planet where your potential is decided at birth, here comes someone born outside the system and has the ability to level up. No wonder she’s so full of herself! She’s exactly who she thinks she is!

self aware honkai star rail AU but the characters hate the shit out of you

they don't give a damn or just hate you personally even tho you technically didn't create their world that is just a sci-fi game about traveling to different worlds with the Astral Express.

someone did a take on this but ended it with the aeons finding out n wanting to eradicate the characters and the reader steps in which changes the characters entire views in instantly

which doesn't sound right to me

it'd be reasonable if some just had mixed feelings about us & don't just immediately start worshipping us the moment we show kindness n how we're "not like other gods" or whatever the saying is 💀 it would be better for the characters to take their leisurely time warning up to us or whatnot

I'm just being a hater I know but then again i still like those posts cuz I appreciate the effort even if it somewhat makes less sense than intended but I like writers who do their shit and it ain't my business to hate on it

Although hoyo has hit a bit of a road bump when it comes to designs as of recently, I do think a majority of their designs hold up very well and look pretty good. I think hoyo's main problem is that they prioritise the characters looking good more than storytelling through the character's design, which can lead to characters that look cool but hardly fit in with their environment (Kinich and Varesa being the main victims of this...). But it's mostly genshin that suffers from this problem, I personally think that the designs in Honkai Star Rail do a great job at explaining who the characters are while also allowing them to fit in with their environment (although it does also have a problem with characters having very similar designs/silhouettes but I'll talk about that another time). With all that being said, I will now perfectly segue into the main reason I started typing this in the first place.

I FUCKING HATE THE THIGH GARTERS HOYO GIVES TO DAMN NEAR EVERY BLEES'ED CHARACTER.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE fiexiao's design, probably one of my favourites in the game (although I wish she wore pants instead of shorts, didn't wear heels, and had more muscle definition, but it's hoyo,, so...🤷🏾‍♂️) and I love thigh garters on women just as much, but you see it so much in the game that you actually start using your brain to think instead of whatever's in your pants for once and ask,"how many times are they gonna give characters thigh garters????" It'd be different if 1 or 2 characters had it, maybe to show relations to the characters of some kind?? Idk I'm not a character designer but STILL. IT'S VERY REPETITIVE.

Look, I know hoyo cares about practicality as much as they care about diversity, that being very little, but even so, what the HELL is MYDEI of all people wearing a thigh garter for??? Hell, not even a thigh garter. They're thigh garterS. Are they holding up Mydei's armour?? I dont think that's how armour works.. Im assuming they're there to take up space since Mydei's crotch kinda feels like negative space between the detailed leg armour and belt, and then his pants are just... kinda there... not that every part of a character's outfit has to be doing something, otherwise thing would feel too busy imo, but I just can't wrap my head around why it's there other than to take up space or to act as hoyo's personal trademark or smth.

They usually do this with characters like Diluc and Clara. Bottom half of the design feels too empty? Give them a thigh garter 👍🏾 I mean, I guess it works in a way?? It does make the design feel less empty, I just think there are better and more interesting ways to do this. Like with Mualani, for example!

I feel like her tan lines add a lot to her character design. It tells you about her character while also telling you about the environment she lives in. That's an A+ in my book😼😼

im finally playing the new hsr quest and mulling over the aeons' lore in my head and the Concept(tm) of Aha and IX being twins is intriguing me like crazy

something something nihilism and nothingness vs absurdity and complete warping of reality both being sort of sister ways to reject the universal state of affairs and cope with Bad Things. both of them rejecting reality in different ways but one turned to an endless party and a bubble where what's real is constantly changing and only limited by what you can dream up, and one attempting to swallow the universe whole so the noise stops. twins whose paths diverged into light and dark but who are still fundamentally trying to serve the same purpose

ive never really thought about the aeons as like. beings that interact with each other before but. this intrigues me.

Ahhhh!! I saw Blade’s SP new stickers on Pinterest! They were soooo cuteeee!! Also blade did becoming gray too?? Anyway can’t wait to see his skills and ultimate! I’d return to hsr just for him <3.
