10. Going to a friend’s wedding (Bruce & Natasha)

Spring Prompts - Put a number and a character/pairing in my ask box and I’ll write a short fic!

A/N: This all takes place before they get to the wedding. So I hope you still like it! 

Natasha looked up as Bruce emerged from the hallway that led to their sleeping quarters. She had to bite her lip to hold back the grin that wanted to grace her lips. She tilted her head as she looked him up and down. "Looking good, Banner."

Bruce had been in his own little world and her voice startled him right out of it. He felt his cheeks as they grew warm. He smiled at her, eyes lighting all the way up. He stepped forward, taking her hand and having her twirl for him so he could see all of her and the red dress that hugged her just so in all the right places.

"You look beautiful, Natasha."

He didn't drop her hand, instead, he entwined his fingers with hers. He pulled her close, letting their noses touch before he kissed her mouth, letting his lips linger on hers until he felt her mouth open to him to deepen it.

She moved her free hand up into his hair. Her fingers tightened in his curls, tugging at them playfully. She whimpered softly as their lips parted. Her eyes opened, locking onto his. "We should go. Don't want to be late."

"Tony will probably want that honor for himself," he said through a half-chuckle.

"And Pepper will want to kill him. I don't want to miss that." She leads the way to the elevator, glancing back over her shoulder. "I know you're staring at my ass, Bruce."

He adjusted his glasses, knowing he was caught red-handed. "Purely for scientific purposes only." He gave her a wink as the doors opened, and they stepped inside.

"You'll have to tell me all about it."

Pairings- Avengers Team x Banner!Reader

Requested by anon-  Can I request something where it is early morning and the team start waking up… they get to the kitchen to see a young college age girl drinking coffee and staring at her phone. Bucky out of instinct aims a gun at her but she flicks her hand at him and it flies across the room. Then Bruce comes from the lab and awkwardly introduces her to the team as his daughter he kept hidden. The only one who knew about her was Tony. She’s moving in with them because she got on Hydra’s radar because of her powers .

I’m sorry this is so short and probably not what you were expecting, anon, I had a hard time thinking of what to do.

Life in the Avengers compound wasn’t easy.

The first thing to do every morning was to train. Six am, sharp- the training session lasted for an hour, with everyone stretching, warming up, and then training physical, which meant gym for everyone, including the people who didn’t even use their physical strength in fights, just their powers (everyone but Tony- he couldn’t be made to wake up at five thirty and train till seven).

Needless to say, everyone turned up ravenous at the kitchen every morning at around seven thirty.

Bucky and Steve were probably ahead of everyone when it got to getting breakfast. The two super soldiers needed a humongous breakfast.

 “Whoa, hey!” Bucky started as he entered the kitchen. His metal arm went up out of instinct, poised to shoot.

There was a strange girl sitting at the table, a phone lying in front of her, along with a cup of coffee. She flinched as Bucky put up his arm, and Bucky staggered back as if he had been pushed hard. He collided against Steve’s chest.

 “What the fuck?” he growled.

“I’m sorry!” stammered the girl. “I didn’t mean- please don’t point that thing at me.” She got to her feet, looking around nervously.

“Who are you?” asked Steve, frowning.

“Her name-“a voice interrupted, “is (y/n) Banner.”

Bruce made his way into the kitchen, tugging at his sleeves nervously.

“Steve, Bucky. Nat- everyone. This is my daughter.”

All he got were stares, until Sam piped up.

 “Your daughter? I thought you didn’t have any family left!”

“Well,” Bruce replied, “I didn’t, except (y/n). Tony- Tony’s the only one who knew. She’s moving in with us because, well, she got on Hydra’s radar. She’s got telekinetic powers.”

 Steve stepped up.

“Ms. Banner,” he said to the girl, who was now standing partly behind her father, peering out over his shoulder, “welcome to the Avengers compound. I’m Steve, and this is my friend Bucky.”

Bucky scowled at her.

“Bucky, be nice,” reprimanded Steve.

This got a small laugh out of (y/n).

“I’m sorry I pushed your friend,” she said. “I didn’t mean to- it just sometimes happens if I’m anxious or scared.”

“No need to apologize,” Steve said, elbowing Bucky, who was in the process of pulling a rude face.

You settled in nicely at the compound. You had been extremely nervous about meeting everyone, especially Natasha Romanoff- it was the way your father talked about her and the thing he had told you about her made you feel extremely intimidated.

“Hello, (y/n),” Natasha said, smiling at you.

“Natasha- can I call you that?” you asked. In your head, you had hoped to meet Natasha while coming across as someone badass, like yeah, Hulk’s daughter and telekinetic, totally badass, but the moment you saw her, you completely lost your shit.

 But soon enough, she put you at ease. You talked a lot, mostly about your dad.

“I’ve heard you can actually calm him down when the other guy comes around,” you said. “How?”

Natasha just shrugged. “He’s always in there, somewhere.”

 Steve was always a complete gentleman. The let-me-draw-your-chair-and-open-doors-for-you type of gentleman. Bucky, who was always with him, was initially a little sour towards you, but he couldn’t be very rude for long, not with Steve chiding him all the time.

Tony Stark you had already been acquainted with, and you were pleased to find that he hadn’t changed- he was still funny, sarcastic, witty and one of your father’s greatest friends.

Your dad had decided that it was about time that you were able to start exercising some control over your powers- you had absolutely no idea how to purposefully work your powers, but Wanda was put in charge of training you, and the two of you got along great.

After all that, there were always the nights. People gathering up in the living room to do impersonations of Nick Fury or quite often, Loki the Green Nosed Reindeer. You felt completely at home, and completely at peace.
