Janos Prohaska as the Anthropoid Ape alien in the first Star Trek pilot, The Cage.
It is the monster The Keeper turns into when Captain Pike starts strangling him. I don't think it was until The Cage was released in its entirety (as opposed to being edited into the two-part episode The Menagerie) that we got a quick glimpse of the ape as Pike's fellow inmate in the Talosian's zoo.
Prohaska also played a Humanoid Bird in the pilot, another fellow inmate of Pike's that is very briefly seen.
The Humanoid Bird costume was reused, as was the M113 Salt Vampire from Man Trap, as mounted specimens in Tremayne's hall in the episode The Squire of Gothos.
