I know that there’s a lot of positivity content out there for afab transfems and amab transmascs. And it’s amazing that there is. You all put up with so much and it genuinely sucks. I even argue there should be more positivity content. You’re all amazing.
But I see very little positivity content for their flip side, afab cismascs and amab cisfems. Which isn’t quite fair. So here goes nothing.
You are not a traitor for choosing, for whatever reason, to not identify as trans.
You do not “owe” the trans community your participation due to your gender and your birth assignment not aligning.
Forcing someone to fit under a label that they are not comfortable using for themselves is antithetical to what the trans community is supposed to be about.
It is not fair to you when people will define transfemininity and transmasculinity with expansive, inclusive, definitions, while simultaneously defining cisfemininity and cismasculinity very restrictively.
Whatever reason you identify the way you do, it is real. It is valid.

intersex lemonwave cismasc, intersex hydrangea cisfem, and intersex chai trisangi
intersex lemonwave cismasc - for lemonwave cismascs who are intersex. does not inherently mean one is lemonwave cismasc because of being intersex, just that one is both of these things.
based on this lemonwave cismasc flag (link) and this lemonwave cismasc flag (link).
intersex hydrangea cisfem - for hydrangea cisfems who are intersex. does not inherently mean one is hydrangea cisfem because of being intersex, just that one is both of these things.

Okay, tagging @our-honeybee-transfem-experience because it asked about it. Coming up with non-AGAB linked terms for cisfemininity and cismas
Update: I finally decided to make flags for Hydrangea Cisfem and Lemon Wave Cismasc. Mostly because I'm bored and had nothing better to do. The colors were color-picked from images of hydrangeas and lemon wave shrubs. I debated trying a new design scheme since these are technically cis flags and not trans flags. But the desire to have all the ANC gender modality flags match somewhat won out, so I kept the seven-stripe pattern.
Hydrangea Cisfem:
An AGAB-less cisfeminine label. For AMAB cis women/cisfems, AIAB/AXAB/UAB cis women/cisfems, cis women/cisfems who use neoAGABs, and AFAB cis women/cisfems who want to decentralize their AGAB.
Lemon Wave Cismasc:
An AGAB-less cismasculine label. For AFAB cis men/cismascs, AIAB/AXAB/UAB cis men/cismascs, cis men/cismascs who use neoAGABs, and AMAB cis men/cismascs who want to decentralize their AGAB.
These were made as sibling terms/cis equivalents to honeybee transfem, coffee bean transmasc, mint chocolate transneutral/tea bag transneutral, and blueberry bee transmascfem/carpenter bee transmascfem, and are fully in support of all those labels and experiences.
Feel free to tweak or play with these flags too. They're more of a prototype.
This is a post I’ve wanted to make for a while. What with a lot of the discourse.
AGABpunk people with OCD, with intrusive thoughts about morality, you are not terrible people. You are not terrible people for feeling most connected to being transfem, or being transmasc, or being cis. Even if your assigned gender doesn’t “match” what is expected for those labels. You’re also not a terrible person for self-assigning an AGAB. Or for using neoAGABs. You have committed no crime and you don’t need to do “penance” or otherwise make up for your identity.
This goes for if you’re intersex. This goes for if you’re perisex. This goes for if you’re unsure if you’re intersex or perisex.
You don’t need to apologize. You don’t need to do anything to make up for the fact that you exist. Your existence is good.
Okay, tagging @our-honeybee-transfem-experience because it asked about it. Coming up with non-AGAB linked terms for cisfemininity and cismasculinity in the same vein as honeybee transfem or coffee bean transmasc.
I wanted to reference our history as the AGABpunk/AGAB-non-conforming community, so I took these old flags, meant as all-AGAB inclusive cisfingender/cisfiaspec flags. Specifically, the flowers on them (for some reason, the corresponding cismingender/cismiaspec flags don’t have flowers. I think that’s just a bit sexist, but whatever).
I looked up “plants with both pink and blue flowers” and came up with the hydrangea, which can apparently be pink or blue depending on the ph of the soil it grew in. I like that as a metaphor for inclusion of all AGAB experiences. Different growing conditions, but same flower at the end of the day. So I’m proposing Hydrangea Cisfeminine.
Then I looked up plants that were relatives to the hydrangea. I settled on the lemon wave shrub. Mostly because out of the terms and flags we already have (honeybee transfem, coffee bean transmasc, mint chocolate transneutral, bumblebee transmasc, blueberry bee transmascfem/transfemmasc) we don’t really have anything predominantly yellow. It would look distinct.
So my proposal is Hydrangea Cisfem and Lemon Wave Cismasc. Let me know your thoughts and suggestions. I’m terrible at coining terms.
I wish there was a headcanon blog specifically for AGABpunk identities. Like, I know some blogs are more than willing to do it, but we’re a small community who don’t request very many things so it’s hard to find other people’s headcanons. If there was a blog just for us that would be nice.
I could make it, but I don’t think I have the energy to run both of these blogs.
I just feel like the community needs more positivity what with the new increase in discourse.
(Was it always this bad and I didn’t notice? Or have things actually gotten worse?)
