Ian...why would you say this to your infant son
TAUPE - YET ANOTHER SIDE QUEST (17)
Robles - Ruano Household & family
Okay - I am thoroughly confused.
It starts with Ignacio Robles - the Patriarch. He lives with his daughter Bernice, her husband Ian, their son Aurelio and soon a new bundle of joy on the way.
If there’s one thing about Bernie, she’s tough. So tough, she hasn’t missed a beat - fished her way though this whole pregnancy.
Fishing gives you a lot of time to think; lately she’s been thinking about mending things with her sibling Jay. She’s just not sure how.
Her sister-in-law Doli tries to keep the lines of communication open between their households, but she doesn’t want to get too involved. She’s loyal to Jay first and foremost, after all.
Which brings us to Bernie’s husband.
I BEG YOU’RE FINEST PARDON - Robles??
If anyone can explain how Bernice‘s husband has the same last name as her family, I would love to hear it.
In the meantime, let’s continue.
Ian doesn’t want to get involved in the drama between Bernie and her sibling - he doesn’t understand that kind of thing, anyway.
Ignacio says ‘family is family’ and leaves it at that.
His sister-in-law Doli makes him slightly uncomfortable due to her past (more on that later), so he keeps his distance. Has he snuck a peek at her OnlySims? No comment.
As for their son Aurelio, he loves Jay and Doli - probably because they’re the most accepting of him and supported him when he came out as ACE.
✏️ When I tell you, their lore is juicy?? I barely had to flesh out anything.
It’s not that the family didn’t know Jay was different. When they transitioned, however, things got strange.
Not because of that, but the news of Jay marrying a very pregnant Doli was confusing and awkward. When they asked who the father was, Jay simply said, “I am”, and left it at that.
Her niece took that personally; after all, they’re Siblings – she never expected Jay to keep anything that big from her.
They’re cordial when they get together for family dinner, but there’s still some tension there. But Bernie loves them and adores her little niece.
Okay, maybe it’s some of these things. Maybe it’s all of these things. But… is it ?
Bernie was intrigued by how confident she was - and the way she bought her own house in a sleepy little town and made it home with no apologies? Impressive.
But she just wished Doli would tell her who little Tala’s bio-dad is.
Baby Tala loves all things spooky like her mama - people say babies shouldn’t wear black, but she detests pink and pastels. She loves her stuffed smelly bear and she can’t wait to put out the pumpkins for spooky season. If she’s lucky, maybe her mama and papa will keep the up all year.
✏️ We are SO keeping them around to see how this all pans out.

It didn't take very long for the police to show up. Emely let them in and explained what happened, while Reila set up a crib the couple had found left in the attic when they first moved in. She set Luca down gently and he snuggled up against one of her childhood toys that she had put in the crib for him. He looked so content that she wanted to tell the police that it was a mistake and that they didn't need to be here.
Emely: --and whoever left him here put all his information in an envelope. It's on the coffee table. Of course, whoever his mother is blacked out her name on all the forms and birth certificate.
Officer Robles: I'll take this down to the station and see if we can get to the bottom of who dropped off the baby. I'll notify the station and forensics, so if you'll excuse me...
The cop took out his phone and started making a call, nodding to his partner to start asking some questions.
Officer Clifford: Do you have any clue who could have done this? Any friends or ex-girlfriends who got pregnant and didn't want to be?
Reila: We don't know anyone who's been pregnant. None of our friends have.
Officer Clifford: So, do you plan on having kids?
Reila, defensive: What's that got to do with anything?
Emely, calm: Reila, stop. Yes, we do plan on adopting. It was something we planned for the future.
There was about ten minutes of silence when finally the other cop came over to them.
Officer Robles: Okay Clifford, we need to get back to the station. The social worker already found a foster care center for the baby.
Reila, surprised: Wait?! A foster care center? Why can't he just stay here until you find out who his mother is?
Officer Clifford: That's not how things in Newcrest work. You'd have to talk to the social worker and apply to be foster parents first before you could keep the baby.
Officer Robles: Luckily, the application process and interview aren't too bad. But it does usually take anywhere from six weeks to six months to get approved.
Reila, upset: S-six months?
Emely: Okay, I think it's time to go...
Reila: No. No.
Emely: Reila, babe, you know it's for the best.
Officer Clifford picked up a sleeping baby Luca and before Reila knew it, the police were gone and the crib was empty.
Reila, crying: I hate this.
Still in the alternate universe:
While Iseul sits by Ian Robles and talks with him, Megan goes to get a snack from the pool bar. She comes back with her pretzel and decides to eat it over the pool water. Iseul goes to get a snack too, but she glitches out and swims all the way there. She slipped under some area and I had to wait for her to come back to reset her. 😂
After that, Megan and Iseul just spend time with each other by the pool. Iseul pulls Megan close and kisses her cheek and then the two of them sit by the pool and dip their legs in the water while talking. This is random but I forgot we got those large curved glass walls/dividers with Get together and it looks really nice. Maybe I'll use it in some build I'll decorate.
Ian Robles
The Robles family is pretty entrenched in this community—they've been here ever since the fishing trade started taking off, and for years had a thriving family business. Ignacio's the patriarch of this family, but just because they have deep roots doesn't make them all that conventional. They know everyone and anyone, and love being a part of everything this community has to offer—from spending way too much of their free time down by the waterfront to organizing big family gatherings at Gilbert Gardens park.
