Re: your Joe Manchin/Matt Y post, it's just hard to emotionally square the idea that every single big piece of legislation is being held hostage by one man and Biden is just... fine with it. He might be furious in private but it doesn't matter what the squad says because JM and Sinema will never budge when they're getting everything they want while simultaneously poisoning the well for the Democratic party as a whole.

It's also that Biden literally can't do anything to Manchin and Sinema because he needs them to vote for Dem judges NOW, and they don't need him at all. Manchin reps West Virginia, which is a deep red state, and Biden's hugely unpopular there, and even in Arizona, which Biden barely won, his approval rating is in the 30s so Mark Kelly is going to be distancing himself from Biden and Dems anyways so Kelly can win re-election this November. That's also why Kelly and Sinema both signed onto that letter asking Biden to keep Title 42 in place and not repeal it like he's planning on doing since Arizona is a border state.

And, antagonizing both of them off will just make them disinclined to support Dems at all like Manchin and Sinema are voting for Ketanji Brown Jackson, and without them, I doubt Mitch McConnell would have even let Biden NOMINATE a justice and hold hearings like he did to Obama in 2016 with Merrick Garland, let alone confirm one.

So yeah, the way around Manchin and Sinema is to elect more Democrats, and that's the mundane answer but it's also the only one.

So, why should he lose his success? Maybe if he says something that people could not like, for sure not drugs, smoking and sex because he always talks about that with no problem. And also, why when he has a relationship with Gigi? I mean, this just brings more clout to her and more people speak about them (also because they keep breaking up and then get back together). He needs his lover by his side if he falls from his heights of fame, but why should he? How could something cause his loss of fame? And after he falls he is going to fly ON HIS OWN TERMS. Very interesting.
