"There's a literal freedom you feel when you're [...] gliding above the surface of the earth, no longer bound by gravity. It's as if you're rising above the nitty-gritty details of life. Even at a few thousand feet, you get a wider perspective. Problems that loom large down below feel smaller from that height, and smaller still by the time you reach 35.000 feet." -S. "Every aspect of airplanes was fascinating - the different sounds they made, the way they looked, the physics that allowed them to rocket through the sky, and most of all, the men who controlled them with obvious mastery." - S. Sullenberger It's been a nice and warm week here; thank you, Spain, you've been good 🌟🌞. On my way to some cool temperatures & rain now ☔. #avgeek #aviationlover #travellife #byebyeSpain #Ilivetofly #✈ (à Alicante–Elche Airport)
If you get mad your getting mad on your own terms im proposing a rational statement that anyone who wants EQUALITY should make it as easy as possible to understand and talk about the issues but with so many words out there that you can guarantee someone in a friendship group wont understand (and almost always wont ask for clarification) due to the way humans are we want things we can understand and often exclude things we dont I only asked you opinon there's no need to freak out
equality isn't conditional
ppl don't have to "earn" equality or make equality easy to give
if you think that there are any circumstances in which someone would have somehow made it reasonable or justifiable for people to withold equality from them you are a horrid, frightening person
there is no "IF you want equality, THEN you have to do this"
we're not waiting for anyone to give us equality as a reward for good behavior. we're going to take it. get the fuck out of our way
Why give me abuse over a simple question? "i literally just came out as “gendervoid” how the fuck do u think i feel about it u absolute jerk" Frankly I don't feel any different you choose to label yourself but so? People with no knowledge of these matters find themselves being thrown into a world of ridiculously confusing words with obscure meanings and abuse. I called you no name yet you call me cishet? Seems fair doesn't it.
get this, guys: cishet is a mean name
that wasn't even directed at u in the first place. i have no idea if yr cis and i have no idea if yr het. that statement was about reminding you that queer kids aren't ~*~oppressing themselves,~*~ we are not "creating social stigma," the stigma surrounding queerness is a result of systems of oppression created and upheld by, ding ding ding, ppl who are privileged over us
but if u have NO idea why coming in here and calling the new terms young queer kids are coming up with to make sense of their identities and have ways to talk about their experiences "ridiculous names" is gonna make me mad i really don't know what to tell ya
Not so much a question but I don't understand why there needs to be an ever growing pool of ridiculous names to describe gender and sexual orientation and things like that. It causes so much social stigma and "wrongness". We have already established that these things cannot be expressed in mere words why not cut them out and instead of stating the bizarre words hardly anyone knows and make it into a kind of sliding scale since one lesbian isn't the same as another etc. What do you think?
i literally just came out as "gendervoid" how the fuck do u think i feel about it u absolute jerk
people finding words to describe themselves doesn't cause social stigma, cishet ppl cause social stigma. go eat a ghost pepper
Belated trick or treat :P
Happy belated Halloween, take a Herdier! {Because of the dog in your icon}
