The Infinity Man (also written Infinity-Man), originally a mysterious, powerful being who was the protector of the Forever People.
In the decades since he first made his debut, his character and origin have been changed several times, as have much of Jack Kirby's New Gods.
In Countdown and Death of the New Gods he was an agent of the Source, slaughtering all the New Gods.
Then the New 52 (boo!) happened, and erased all of that nonsense.
Last I heard, Infinity-Man was Darkseid's heretofore unknown brother, but that's probably changed as well.
