It still baffles me after 8 years that Rogers had over two years to tell Tony the truth about his parents' deaths. The audacity for Mr. Sometimes My Teammates Don't Tell Me Things, to lecture Tony about keeping secrets when he was holding onto one hell of a timebomb.
How hard would it have been to sit Tony down in a calm environment, maybe ask Rhodey or Pepper to be there too, and just fucking tell him?
There would still be rage, but controlled and without the trigger of said parent killer standing a few feet away.
Tony wasn't a black-and-white type of person. With time, he would've come to terms with the fact that it wasn't Bucky's fault. Maybe he would have even assisted with tracking him down and getting him help mentally.
What better way to avenge his parents' death than by removing the control Hydra had over an innocent man?
The trio we had on Infinity Saga.
The Trio we Should have at Multiverse Saga.
I've been introducing my younger siblings to the mcu finally and we were at the point in Captian America Winter Soldier where you fully get to see Bucky for the first time, ya know when he's flipping the car, and my youngest brother points to the screen and excitedly yells "Is that Markiplier?!" Only correct answer was yes.
sometimes i find myself unable to watch old marvel movies, don’t get me wrong i LOVE new marvel movies, to me even eternal which was widely criticised was very interesting but however, when i start a old marvel movie, i end up thinking about how we can never return to that. that messes me up everytime.
oh infinity saga, how i miss you. everyday.
I have never been a big marvel or avengers gal, so I’m finally watching the infinity saga, and who was going to tell me that the guy who plays hit character Dylan Rhodes in the widely known hit movie trilogy “Now You See Me” starring Jesse Eisenberg, also plays lesser known character ‘Hulk’ from the lesser known Marvel ‘Avengers’ franchise?
Marvel Doesn't Trust Its Characters And That's Why It's Failing
Which is a shame because trusting and respecting its characters is what had made Marvel what it is.
Unfortunately, I have been here since the beginning of the Marvel Cinematic Universe in 2008, and even before that when there used to be solo Marvel superhero movies like Spider Man and X-Men. I have seen the trajectory of the MCU and the impact it has had on movie culture as a whole.
It had caught lightning in a bottle with its interconnected universe - something every other studio tried to replicate and failed.
Now, recency bias is a hell of a drug. Now that Marvel is struggling, people are quick to say it was a juggernaut back in the day where everything it did worked. And suddenly everything it is doing now is failing. It was a juggernaut, for sure. But it was a very meticulously crafted saga based on characters that resonated with the audience. And not everything worked (The Incredible Hulk, Ant-Man). It got plenty of criticism (villains, lack of representation). It all just got masked because the studio was breaking box office records.

Imagine how confused Steve Rogers would be by youth slang in this day and age. Like, I’m hung up on the idea of Kate saying “No cap,” in the middle of one of Clint’s stories, and Steve getting confused and all like, “no cap? But I’m right here?”
