2,8, and 23 for Inigo and Lucina as a couple. Thanks
oh gosh, this one turned out long. Hope you like it anon!
#2 love
The ballroom was filled with laughter and music. Couples danced in the middle, friends talked around the edges and others met for the first time. Lucina stood with her friends, her arms crossed over her chest as she watched her parents dancing. Severa and Cynthia were arguing over something but the princess had forgotten the topic. Nah and Noire were in deep conversation about the crazy things their mother’s did. Kjelle was off walking in the gardens with Laurent.
“Princess Lucina?” Lucina turned towards the voice, finding a smiling Inigo standing beside her, his hand extended and a shy smile on his face. She blinked at him a few times, noticing her friends go silent beside
“May I have this dance?” He asked.
“Of course.” She gave him a small smile, taking a hold of his hand.
As he led her onto the dance floor, Lucina caught her brother’s eye. Morgan smiled and gave her a thumbs up as he made his way over to Nah. Robin and Chrom smiled at the two as they walked by. They stopped in the middle of the floor, surrounded by other couples waiting for the music to start. Lucina noticed a few of their friends had joined them. A confident Owain stood with a bright red Severa, Morgan and Nah were a few feet from them as well and even Chrom and Robin had decided to stay on the dance floor. Inigo placed one arm around the princess’s waist and held onto her free hand.
"Lucina.“ He said, his words causing her to bring her attention back onto him.
"I think they all know now, huh?” She asked. He gave a chuckle and nodded.
“Yes, I think so too. But they won’t know one thing.” He added, giving her a wink as the music started to play and they began moving around. Her head tilted to the side and she frowned at him.
“Oh? And what is that?” Lucina asked. He pulled her closer to him, holding onto her tightly.
“They will never know how much I love you.”
#8 insane
Inigo stared at the woman sitting across from him, his arms pinned down to the chair he was seated on. Lucina’s eyes were focused on the skull she was currently holding. The object was cracked and missing parts of it, a sign that the skull was decades old. She gave a lazy sigh, her attention still focused on the skull.
“Do you know what this is?” She asked, her voice dull.
“A skull.”
“Clearly. But it’s what’s left of a human, something they leave behind when they die. Left to rot. A sign of how pathetic humans truly are.” Inigo said nothing but his jaw clenched and Lucina glanced at him.
“You don’t agree?” She asked.
"No. Humans are strong in their own way. Before we go, we pass on the knowledge of what we learned through tour life. Our bones show that we lived rather than we died.“ Inigo explained. The blue haired girl raised an eyebrow at him.
"Oh? Let’s put that to the test shall we?” She asked, a wicked grin covering her face. Her hand closed on the skull, crushing it easily. The dust and broken pieces fell to the floor and a fake look of surprise flashed across the woman’s face.
“Oops.” She gave a laugh at the look on Inigo’s face, getting to her feet and crossing to the window. “Human’s are weak. But their deaths do bring me great joy I suppose, not to mention that they keep me entertained for a bit. Make sure to entertain me before you die, precious fool.” Lucina added, shooting a glared at the man. Inigo hung his head, giving her a small nod.
“Yes… Master Grima.”
#23 storm
Thunder boomed outside of the small cottage causing the windows to rattle. Lucina hugged the blanket close to her body, shaking slightly at the sound of the storm raging outside. Inigo lay beside her, fast asleep and unbothered by the storm. The young princess had never been good with storms, ever since she was a small child. Lightning flashed outside and she prepared herself for the next clap of thunder, closing her eyes tightly. BOOM! Lucina jumped and threw the blanket over her head, causing her husband to stir. He rolled over to face her, peaking under the blanket she was using to hide under.
“Luci?” Inigo asked. “Everything alright?”
“Fine! Everything'so fine! Nothing’s wrong at all!” Lucina said quickly, jumping as thunder cracked again. Inigo gave a small chuckle, shaking his head as he wrapped his arms around the young princess. He could feel her shaking slowly fade, the comfort of his arms calming her.
“Who knew the princess was afraid of thunder?” He joked.
“Shut up.” She muttered, swatting at him half heartedly. He laughed and placed a kiss on her temple.
“Get some sleep Luci. I’ll be right here if you need me.”
