Love a whumper turned whumpee who is part of some institution that tortures people and is intimately familiar with their standardized process to break their victims, only to become a victim of the institution themself. The horror of betrayal made all the worse by knowing exactly what’s going to happen to them :)

Except Carewhumper, who's been looking for this exact thing. Carewhumper embracing Whumpee and holding them close even as their breath hitches in panic, gently stroking their hair. Carewhumper murmurs so gently to them as they tremble.

"There, see? It's not so bad. It's not so bad, is it? Shh, shh... it's all right. Look at you, you're so pretty. Shh. It's all right. You want to be good for me, don't you? I'm going to take such good care of you."

There is an error when "ordering" new whumpees. So now a pet whumpee and a living weapon got delivered to each others whumpers. Neither whumper know.

A vampire hunter gets bitten by and turned into a vampire on the job. Oops, well they knew the risks. All vampires, no matter how 'human' they start off still trying to act, all devolve into utterly feral, dangerous monsters eventually. They were taught this. It's time to accept their fate at the stake, for the good of the world. Except... the guild/ they work for has decided something. maybe because there are the first hunter to be turned in this particularly manner, in this convenient way, or some other plot-convenient reason, but they tell the newly turned vampire that they can continue working for them. Not like they did before as a hunter in the field, of course. They've left the possibility of continuing that route behind the moment the fangs slid through their neck and the first wave of bloodlust itched up their throat. But... perhaps they'll be useful as an example to teach students the trade of vampire hunting at vampire hunter academy or wherever aspiring hunters first learn the skills to capture and kill those bloodsucking monsters terrorizing the Earth. Their willing cooperation will lead to miles better results than using feral, undocile vamps as part of hands-on training for beginners. Imagine taking a starting class on vampire hunting and the instructor is introducing all the tools used and inviting you to practice securing a muzzle onto a real vampire. And the vampire itself is obediently standing still while also coaxing you and congratulating you and even offering tips as you slowly lock the muzzle over their face and making sure their fangs are completely barred in, not that they're trying to bite you right now. Of course, they're still chained in these classes just in case and they're still not a person anymore, this is just the organization's way of letting them do a little final good for the world in their short unlife before they eventually predictably fall down the slippery slope of bloodlust and need to be destroyed. They should be grateful for this second chance! And they are! Even when none of their former coworkers look at them normally anymore, or when they're treated as a tamed pet in the classes despite being told they're still technically an employee, or when their boss tells them that they're going to be used in teaching classes on how to put silver muzzles on vamps now, the kind that burns their skin upon contact, or that they're gonna be used in a demonstration on how long a vamp can stand being in the sun for, or how to defang one, or the limit of stabbing one before they're unable to heal immediately. The kind that's a kind of torture now, but of course they're still going to agree. Because, of course they should be grateful for any chance to continue advancing the noble cause - being part of teaching the next monster-hunting generation - even after they're now a ravenous monster themselves, and refusing any of these charitable opportunities is just proving they are indeed now too far gone, too consumed by the selfish slavering beast who no longer cares about their once human ideals, and they need to be killed for good because they're just like all the rest now.

ykw a trope I’m really into is institutional/normalized whump where whumpees’ rights are not respected whatsoever but Whumper is STILL so sadistic and fucked up that even in that context people are like “…..this guy is a bit much”

Oh your pet whumpees is sick??? Bring them to the vet!!

If the whump is common place and societal, it’s artificial lights and tile floors, overly cheery nurses and waiting rooms crowded with other terrified whumpees. Clinical discussions in oversanitized rooms fitted with padded restraints to hold whumpee down. Meds that barely work and taste even worse.

If the whump is more underground, expect a back alley treatment, corralling whumpee into an abandoned brick building. Bloodstained concrete floors hastily hosed down, people in cheap doctor’s coats to seem professional. Casually clinical discussions where whumpee is strapped to a metal table with belts and handcuffs. Shady pills that may work, or it may just kill whumpee, who knows.

Take your sick whumpee to the local vet!!

Whumpee who's been on the run from some sort of organization/the government/whatever for a long time, finally getting captured.

Waking up in a facility in the middle of nowhere. Knowing that no one is coming to rescue them.

Whumper leaning over to whisper, "It's all going to be alright, we're going to take care of you now," before tenderly stroking whumpee's hair.

Maybe brainwashing is involved? Will whumpee ever be rescued/ever escape? What are whumper's plans?

Whumpee was kept at as a living weapon in a military type base, after being punished after so many failed missions, they decide to run away. They get at far as they can, before the adrenaline runs out, before the pain is too much, before they give in to their injuries and collapse.

Whumpee in found unconscious by their best friend medic and older brother caretaker, who take them home.

After months of conditioning Whumpee as a hard time adjusting once they've healed from they're wounds, they don't quite realize they're safe. They are expecting to be hurt, and expecting that they're gonna have to hurt others.

They have frequent panic attacks and nightmares of their time with whumper. They're terrified that whumper is going to come back and find them, surely they couldn't get away that easy!?

During their healing, Whumpee has a hard time letting people get close to them, physically and Emotionally. But caretaker, they're older brother, the person they grew up with, he could get close, he was the only one Whumpee would let comfort them after a nightmare, they wouldn't let medic help them unless caretaker was there too.

After some time, Whumper does find them. But this time whumpee isn't alone. They have medic and caretaker, Whumpee is terrified, they think there's no way they could win this fight. But with medic and caretaker by there side, whumpee uses what they learned from they're time with Whumper as a living weapon to take them down. But, whumper doesn't go down without a fight.

After the mess of the battle, whumpee is hysterical, looking around for their brother. Whumpee sees him on the ground, they run over, caretaker is barely breathing, face bloody as whumpee holds him in their arms, afraid, is their brother gone? Memories of the them together flood Whumpee's mind, they cry.

Caretaker looks up at whumpee, one of his eyes is gone, whumpee is scared and sorry, they apologize for everything, for going missing, for getting caretaker involved, for not protecting him better... Caretaker just lifts his arm and touches Whumpee's face, and tells them everything's going to be okay, they don't have to apologize.

Medic comes over as caretaker passes out again. Medic does they're best to comfort whumpee, but they're pretty shaken up, not wanting to leave their brother. But Medic needs to get them to help.
