so, im gonna talk about Inversa bc i need to write down thing or else i’ll forget:
-So, Inversa is a city that is also a plane of existence, located in a weird place that makes the time flowing really fucking weird.
The whole city is, in fact, probably composed of the same three people coming from different point in their own timelines. Maybe.
The city guard surely is. It’s literally just one guy, he’s really tired. No one knows how he got the job, given that he’s techincally his own boss and he hates his job.
-The city has a vertical structure. There are several “floors”, so to speak, and the deeper you get, the darker the whole city becomes. Quite literally. At the lower floors even creatures with darkvision have trouble discerning shapes.
-Everything that had, will, or would have happened has actually happened in Inversa. Everything.
That’s why it’s the only place where you can get some weird shit like the breath of a dying god, the lost dreams of a fox or the latest The Legend of Zelda game. Spellcasters and nerds dig this place, if they can find it.
-The whole city has a Shadowrun kinda vibe. It’s all neon-y and punk and shit. It’s filled with skyscrapers so high you can’t actually see the fucking sky.
-Some people are known as Charons. They’re weird: they’re the only one of themselves, for real. No alternate selves. No future or past selves. Their whole existence is really weird and sometimes unstable. They function as guides for adventurers that don’t want to get lost in the depths of Inversa. Not everyone needs them, and not every one of them actually work as guides.
-Time loops and paradoxes are frequent and people, often, don’t really have the time for that, so they just don’t care and hope everything turns out fine.
-It’s the only city where you can literally go fuck yourself.
-The city is cool, except when you find out that the person you just murdered is just your future self and you’re going to live with the knowledge that you’re going to die by your own hands. Funny!
-Inversa is alive, and most of the time she’s pissed off. Good luck with that!
