My tip for invoking any demon: don’t be scared.
I feel like this is an important step for most people because yes, fear does get in your way and makes things harder to understand. No, it isn’t invalid to be afraid because there are stereotypes surrounding demons, and I too had stereotype Lord Lucifer to be evil, pushing boundaries, and cruel. But when you pushed that fear away and understand that They aren’t there to hurt you, it helps.
EURIPIDES' INVOCATION TO DIONYSOS BROMIOS
O Bromius, leader, god of joy,
Bromius, take me there!
There the lovely Graces are,
and there Desire, and there
the bacchants have the right to worship.
The deity, the son of Zeus,
in feast, in festival, delights.
He loves the goddess Peace,
generous of good,
preserver of the young.
To rich and poor he gives
the painless delight of wine.
But him he hates who scoffs
at the happiness of those
for whom the day is blessed
and blessed the night;
whose simple wisdom shuns the thoughts
of proud, uncommon men.
What the common people
believe and do,
I too believe and do.
(trans. by William Arrowsmith, lines 412–430)
Euripides, The Bacchae
Praying to Set for guidance and courage to do something he's been pushing me to do for well over a year. Something I've been avoiding like a stubborn child even though it'll be good for me. I know he's very much the "do it scared" deity, so it's time to listen and stop shutting out his words.
✩₊˚.⋆☾ Welcome to the Circle of Mystics ⋆☾⋆⁺₊✧
Hello there! My name is Star (she/they) and this is my online Grimoire and Sacred Space. Please feel free to send asks about anything or to request posts and I'll answer to the best of my knowledge or at least try to lead you in the right direction of resources. But I always suggest doing your own research and following your intuition over anything else. A little about me - I've been practicing magick for 10+ years, I wouldn't define my path with a label but I do identify as a witch and pagan. Aphrodite is who I have dedicated myself to. Most of my magick is focused on self love, glamour, and living according to the moon. For me magick is personal to me and those I know personally. So I will never message you offering services or readings. Eventually I would like to start offering ritual oils or spell kits so you might see me post that, but I will never message you trying to sell you something. Keep Reading for Blog Navigation and My Grimoire. (Oh and Fuck AI)

Would y’all consider writing a letter to a deity as a form of prayer as an invocation even if i make it clear that i unfortunately cannot invite them into my space? I can’t have any demon altars up or invite them into my space at the time due to my living situation. But i wrote a letter to Asmodeus anyway to reach out about maybe performing devotional acts in his name for the time being. I really want to work with him in the future once able to.
