Ingo and Emmet may look the same and spend most of their time together, but they have their differences.

Different degrees Emmet picked engineering, Ingo picked physics. They shared what they learnt and occasionally attended each other’s lectures.

They read different newspapers, allows them to have debate on things, even if they both agree on something anyway.

In high school, Emmet was on the athletics team, doing long distance running. He still runs marathon’s while Ingo supports him. Ingo was on the swimming team but got an awful shoulder injury so couldn’t continue. He still misses it.

At college Emmet found out Ingo started smoking and punched him. They didn’t talk until Ingo stopped. It was 2 hours.

Emmet loves to garden, they don’t have much space in Nimbasa city so their parents let him tend the plants in their’s. Ingo finds it frustrating because at least Pokémon communicate their needs.

Ingo got his driving licence at 24 after four attempts. Emmet passed first try at 16. Both feel more at home driving a train. Ingo has a motorbike license so he could still get around without Emmet’s help. It was rarely used. As such he had full control of Emmet’s stereo, playing alternative rock which annoyed Emmet who preferred listening to whatever was in the charts.

Damn you got some strong headcanons huh? Uh, idk what you want me to do with these, so I guess I'll just go down and say what I do and don't agree with? (Again, different interpretations of characters is fine and great! I just Also Have Opinions on these two, lol)

Look, you don't need to try and convince me that Ingo and Emmet aren't exact copies lol. I'm a twin, I still spend most of my free time with my twin, and we're different.

I could defo see Emmet being interested in engineering! I kind of feel like in the pokemon world, though, college doesn't work the same, and they were more like gym trainers for a bit (which in my mind is like a research/apprenticeship kind of deal) and worked part-time in the subway before going into the Subway Boss business.

I love the idea of them going out of the way to read different newspapers! Although I do think like in general they can have different opinions of the same article. They also disagree on which funnies comic is the best.

I like the idea of Emmet being on the athletics team, but I'm gonna just fully, completely, whole-heartedly projecting onto Ingo and say that he played the saxophone in band and was in the schools marching band and as constantly being told to play quieter. And so I also want to say that Emmet was in the color guard of the marching band.

I don't think Ingo ever tried smoking.

I do think that Ingo and Emmet do like gardening! But Ingo likes succulents more that he can just put in the windowsil, and Emmet is more of a 'let's start a vegetable garden and feed the whole neighborhood!'

Um, I don't know what to do with the driver's license one. I mean, they live in the city, I don't think either of them can drive? I feel like if they need to get around, that's what pokemon and trains are for.

Uh, I'm not really sure why I got these? They dont' seem to have much to do with Detours, if anything. I love talking about stuff! I really do! But I am a little confused.
