i'm not a fundimentally pessimistic person but i do have a complicated relationship with how art portrays hope. which i'm finding hard to articulate the specifics of rn but... i prefer phm's to superman's if that makes sense.

I regret adding good night hugs with my mom to my night time routine as a kid cuz now it's hard to sleep without it 😔

Well that's June done with. I have to confess to feeling somewhat ambivalent about the whole pride thing.

There's always a lot of debate about whether or not this group or that group "belong at pride", but these days I'm fairly certain that I don't. Not anymore. Or perhaps I never did. Who knows.

Anyway, I don't want to be a downer and I certainly don't wish to begrudge anyone their fun or their sense of community. I fully support my various LGBT+ mutuals and, in my own quiet way, I am proud of you all. But of myself... not so much.
