Noo Shedletsky doing drugs is NOT a good idea
Drawing the @rogerrrroger 's Gordon Wall-E with some creativity liberties because im stupid LMFAO (i liked a lot ur design ily no straight)
The opposite of King Jersey Stan (Water Spirit!Stan Au) would be the Fire version of him that died in his burning car with the Journal 1 (i have a doodle kf that somewhere here)
Water Spirit Stan is more of depresso, he refuses to remember but Fire Spirit Stan remembers. Big time. The only reason he became a Spirit at all is because of his hot anger like the flames that ate him up.
Fire Stan is a vengeful Spirit :3
Usually I see ghosts Stans being all ;-; and :( like...let him be angry. He's earned it.
Fire Stan isn't angry with what happened, no, he's angry he died alone after taking Stanford's journal. He's angry he did everything for his family and they did jack shit for him, bitter with how they wouldn't even know he died much less how...
Because what do you mean the one time someone contacted him it was for a favor? What do you mean the moment he took that cursed journal away, hoping to go back tk Stanford ans be brothers again, he just dies? What do you mean he died without making millions? Without going home? Him? Die?? Without seeing his mother's face? Without smelling the familiar scent of home? Without ever proving his own existence? Stan?? Dying and justifying that he truly was good for nothing?
No one will miss him, the world moves on as it always has when he was homeless. The world doesn't give to shits about Stan and Stan doesn't give a shit about the world.
I saw TADC finale on opening day, so I've had some time to let it settle in my head. I'll be honest, for various reasons tbh I'm not super satisfied with the ending. I do acknowledge the difficulty tho going from indie to mainstream and tadc has been in production for a longggg time so there are prob things they could/couldn't do. I'm gonna wait until the youtube release so I want watch again and really dissect it to discuss in detail and put my thoughts in order.
I don't even know what to call this au. LMFAO scroll and ignore my insanity.
Is this my excuse to power dynamic swap, maybe 😒 it totally is, so what?
Anyway after all that, Telemachus is like? You think a quick death 🤨is what you're allowed to have and just GO?? after all those years, specifically YOU and what you put me through—
(and totally not because he feels a frustrating empty gap/ fucked up feelings from their dynamic. Nooo not at all.)
So no, forcing you to look a fool. To be the dog you are 🤡 under the very roof you got comfortable with.
This forced connection is a leash, and depending on your behavior it's either tightening at your throat or this holders (Telemachus) touch can bring ease.
Guess no jokes about the boldness in the prince
(do I just want to draw angry traumatized and potentially submissive Antinous, probably)
☕ alright move along
how it feels to be asexual in a fandom full of gooners (no hate or judgement, the thirst is valid 99% of the time)
OKAY WAIT
Byler F1 au BUT Mike as a Ferrari driver (he has that Ferrari Driver Depression™️ and unrelenting loyalty on LOCKK) and Will as a Williams driver (for shits&gigs because of the name)
ive talked about this before but something very interesting about old superman/boy content is that there is a clear distinction between 'superman' and 'clark kent' as identities and people. in some golden age superman stories (ill add examples later when i remember them hopefully) where scenarios play out in which he realises he can reveal himself he simply gives up being clark kent completely. in stories where the plots deal with him imagining marrying lois, he doesn't imagine clark kent marrying lois lane- superman marries lois lane and clark kent is retired forever. this is also true of things like his journalism career- he likes it sure, but for the most part its meant to help him be superman, its not like an innate passion. and again, in stories where he discards clark he leaves it as well. and in this example you also see this idea of 'no further reason to pose as 'timid' Clark Kent', as well as Lana literally saying she liked him 'as if' he were a real person. importantly he doesn't use his kryptonian/birth name of 'kal-el' as his 'real name', rather the identity and name of superboy exist as the true face beneath the convenient mask of clark kent. this example specifically is cool i think bcs this is Adventure Comics #235, dated Feb 26 1957 on locg. around this late 50s period in superboy stories (idk if tis true in superman ones as well but its been nearly a year since i read 50s superman soz) theres a rise in stories where he actually wants to save his clark kent identity; besides the obvious benefits of having it, theres this evolution where theres more acknowledgement by him of his love of earth as his home and his adoptive parents as well. its clear as time went on that attitudes changed a lot around the writing of the character until we got the more human version today, where clark loves being clark. im not qualified enough for a psychoanalysis of the character (maybe in the future...) but i think there's a whole bunch of stuff to think about with this version of the character. firstly thinking about gender norms theres obviously this thread (played for humor a lot def) of paragon of american manhood/boyhood superman/superboy having to cover his identity by acting like a weak 'sissy'. in that light its like well of course hed love to leave clark kent behind, why would he want to go on acting like a weakling if he had an out to be the bastion of american masculinity that he is. i think theres something to be said of his origin as well on that note..
