I think we should let Skyfire hate Megatron, loathe him, genuinely want him ground into the ground beneath his pedes, on the sole basis that he KNOWS that Megatron is Starscream's type, and he KNOWS there is no absolute way his hot af conjux has not slipped into his berth at least once
Ok, I know we're all still talking about the Bowuigi face grab, and don't get me wrong, it's a great scene and it deserves to be talked about, but I want to talk about my favorite scene in the movie
The Brother's Reuniting:
If you watch it, you can see Mario pull Luigi down, and press their foreheads together, before they hug. There's a battle going on right next to them- but they're only looking at each other. Holding each other, staring into the other's eyes, and just proving to themselves that they're okay.
They had to spend the entire movie apart, and in this scene, it's obvious the toll that this has taken on them. Mario even mentions in one scene that they've never been apart this long- and it happens in the middle of a new world and kingdom that they've never seen before? In the middle of a war? While one of them was locked in a dungeon, and about to sacrificed in the name of a forced wedding?
It's horrible for them, they're both on the brink of breaking down this entire movie (mostly Luigi, but Mario had his moments) and in this moment, right after Luigi almost died, where they're finally reunited, they don't care about anything elae in the world more than they care about each other.
Mario and Luigi need each other, no doubt about it. And it's not a one sided thing either- it's not cowardly Luigi needs big brother Mario to protect him- its Mario and Luigi cannot exist without each other.
I could go on for hours about how this movie shows just how much Mario needs Luigi, and I WILL, but not tonight (but probably tomorrow.).
Just, ugh, this scene was so good, and so meaningful. It's absolutely going down as one of my favorite scenes in cinema
ALSO:
LOOK HOW HAPPY THEY ARE TO SEE EACH OTHER
LOOK AT THEM
MARIO IS ON THE VERGE OF TEARS, AND LUIGI IS GRINNING SO HARD
JUST-
UGGGGGGGGGHHH
NOBODY TOUCH ME 😭
Fic where Lucifer drugs Mammon with a long-form truth serum, as a punishment for continuously asking for money he doesn't need, and lying about the reasons. The punishments going well, Mammons humiliated, all of his future schemes have been revealed, and they've also gotten closer on account of Mammon not being able to lie about his feelings.
It's great! Everything's great, tied up with a bow.
Except, somehow, someway, the Anti Lucifer League (Satan and Belphegor) use their expert detective skills to uncover this new found flaw of Mammons (they live with them; Lucifer told them), and realize in short order that Lucifer has given a long-form truth serum to the one demon in the Devildom who knows all of his secrets
Levi's the kind of guy to get back from a 12-hour shift from the local restaurant, and almost immediately hop on Cool Math Games to play Papa's Pizzeria
Obsessed with the idea of Levi (the Avatar of ENVY) having some sort of complex about Mammon and Lucifer’s relationship.
Like, it has to bother him that he, Lucifer’s First, Original Brother, was so easily replaced by Mammon-- someone Levi generally considers as below him (whether that may or may not be true).
And idk, I have feelings about Levi struggling with it because he KNOWS that Mammon is his brother, as much as any of his other brothers-- but his envy won't let him live with the fact that Lucifer favors their adopted, scummy, problematic brother over him-- enough so to make him his Right Hand Man, and have Levi delegated right behind him
what if i wrote a bowuigi fic where the course of their relationship was tracked by sunsets? huh? HUH?! what’d you do if the sun, the bringer of life, and the inevitable ender of it to was used to symbolize bowuigi? then what?!
Lately I've been thinking more and more about Sonic and Tails, because they are The Brothers Ever, and one thought that has just been rattling around in my brain is the fact that it was the chaos emeralds that showed Sonic Westside Island.
Like, they wanted Sonic and Tails to meet. To fight together. To become friends, brothers even. Why else would they show Sonic Westside Island?
And I'm pretty sure it's cannon that the Chaos Emeralds were trying to pair them off (don't quote me on it though- understanding Sonic cannon is a feat I've given up on accomplishing).
So, I don't really think that chaos emeralds would let Tails die, if that makes sense. Like, if they wanted Sonic to meet Tails so bad that they literally showed him Westside Island and then really didn't talk to him much after that (again- don't quote me on this, bc im really not certain), then I doubt they'd just let Tails die. In their eyes, he's probably still has work to do. Blue hedgehogs to keep alive and reeled in.
And- I know this isn't really doesn't count, but I'm still gonna bring it up- in Sonic Adventure 2 (maybe? haven't played in a while) whenever Tails dies he just... Floats back onto the screen. And, yes, obviously that's not the chaos emeralds bringing him back to make sure Sonic still has Tails, it's a cool thought.
All of this to say, I've been thinking about Tails croaking in some fight, and the Chaos emeralds, obviously not happy with this, rewind time so Sonic can keep it from happening. Only for Sonic to fail again, and again. Effectively, a time loop, where Sonic's stuck watching his brother die over and over again, all the while trying to find a way to stop it.
Obviously there'd be a happy ending- Tails is my boy, I'm not keeping him dead. But Sonic would definitely have to figure out whatever moral I decide to tack onto him.
Idk, just an idea. Definitely going to work on it a little bit more, but I do hope to get this one written out soon.
