one thing i find so interesting in fanfic is alastor’s music choice specifically when it comes to jazz.

afaik the general consensus is that alastor died anywhere from 1933 to 1935 (if there is a canon date that falls outside of this range feel free to correct me) so when it comes to contemporary music we’re talking great depression to pre-war jazz.

so when i come across alastor listening to or broadcasting a wartime/postwar tune or artist (e.g. charlie parker, dizzy, monk) i can’t help but think “oh, thats music vox would have put him onto” and it kind of just makes me so happy to think like in his own little way alastor is still thinking about and remembering the time they spent before the fallout.
