love shot
raichi jingo x gn!reader. raichi is afraid of needles and needs his yearly flu shot. mention of needles, cussing. fluff!
“no way in hell.”
you sighed heavily, hands propped on your hips, exhausted from the back and forth. “baby, i promise—“
“nope. not doing it. i’ll take my chances,” raichi grumbled with a stubborn frown. he was trying to look intimidating with his angry glare, but the white-knuckled grip he had on the shopping cart was trembling and painfully obvious.
gently, you placed your hand over his and left it there. “what can i do?”
raichi huffed. “nothing. there’s nothing you can say or do to make me—“
“i’ll buy you all the shrimp tempura you want for a year.”
he contemplated this, the crease between his brows vanishing before deepening a second later with the aggressive shake of his head. “you can’t bribe me. no means no.”
you hesitated. yes, in nearly every other situation ever, that was true. however, last year, raichi did get the flu, and he was a mess for over a week. he told you he’d get his shot the next year—this year—and here you were.
“jingo,” you said sweetly, but not in a way that he would take as pity. “i’m going to get mine now. will you still come and hold my hand?”
his eyes darted to yours, wide and alarmed. “h-hold your hand? while they stab you?”
“mhm.” you nodded as though it were the most casual thing in the world, maintaining your calm composure. “i’ll be scared too, without you there.”
raichi made a strangled sound, somewhere between a groan and a growl. “you’re evil,” he muttered, but the way he let go of the cart and shuffled after you into the clinic said otherwise.

sitting together on the paper-covered exam bench, raichi looked like a caged animal. his knee bounced uncontrollably, his hand clammy in yours, but his jaw set firm. “i’m just here for moral support," he stated, ignoring the tiny tremor in his voice. "don’t get any ideas.”
when the nurse walked in with the syringe, raichi immediately jumped to his feet. “nope. no way. absolutely fucking not.”
“raichi,” you said firmly, tugging his hand back down. he obeyed, reluctantly.
you winced, only slightly, when the needle pricked into your arm. raichi’s entire body tensed like he’d been the one stabbed. his grip on your hand nearly crushed your fingers. “are you okay? was it bad? t-that looked really painful—“
“it did hurt, a little, but it was only for a second.” you explained calmly before showing him the little hello kitty bandage now covering the spot. “i even got a souvenir.”
his shoulders sagged with relief, though his lips stayed pressed in a thin line. “you’re way too brave. i don’t… i don’t know if i can—“
“jingo,” you cut in softly, squeezing his hand. “it’ll be the same for you. just a pinch. i’ll be here the whole time.”
he swallowed hard, eyes darting between you and the needle. “shrimp tempura for a year, right?”
“i'll make it two,” you teased.
raichi groaned, tipping his head back like a man doomed. “fine. fine! but if i die, i’m haunting you.”
he didn’t die, of course. he let out a violent, yelling curse the second the needle touched his skin, but he didn’t die. the nurse nearly startled into laughing at his reaction, and you had to give his hand a warm squeeze to keep him from biting her head off. when it was over, raichi blinked at his own bandaged arm in shock.
“that’s it? seriously? … that wasn’t even that bad,” he muttered, trying to play it off.
you leaned over and kissed his cheek. “proud of you, baby.”
his face went pink, and he grumbled, “don’t say that in public.” but he didn’t let go of your hand the entire way out of the clinic.

lemon cookies!!
synopsis: in a previously discussed agreement, you promised to fake date raichi, how's that going?
⚠️: some foul language, touchiness, mentions of aggression
((if there's something I missed, pls lemme know))
📓: ugh he's an underrated fav of mine 😩
Everyone knows Raichi has a temper. You can hear him from two classrooms over. Hell, you can probaly hear him screaming from the track outside. He's snarky, and mean, he's blunt too. Maybe he doesn't always mean for it to come off that way, but it certainly does. His friends always tease him for it.
"No wonder you can't find a girl yet..." Isagi poked.
"Yeah, he scares them all off, he's scaaary!" Bachira grinned.
"Shitheads, I have a partner," he snapped back.
"Riiight..." Chigiri rolled his eyes.
Before Raichi could bite back, a loud squeal cut through the tension, "Baby!"
Everyone's head whipped around to the source of the sound, and lo and behold was someone elated, headed in the direction of... Rachi?
Isagi, ever the-think-aheader, looked over to Rachi, and he seemed just as confused as everyone else, maybe even... embarrassed?
You ran up and hugged him, "Jingo... ugh, I've missed you all day! You've kept me waiting!" you pouted, fluttering your eyelashes ever so precisely.
"No shot..." Kunigami broke the silence.
Rachi snapped out of it and snickered before leaning in closer, "Sorry, babe, I was busy, you know how it is, but I'm all yers now."
"Oh, I'd hate to take you away from your friends... Is that alright with you guys?" you asked politely, turning your head to look at them.
"You heard him... He's all yours..." Chigiri said, his face perplexed.
"Oh yay!" you grabbed his hand and dragged him away, "Bye, everyone!"
Murmurs of bye were heard behind you.
You smiled over at Raichi, he was ecstatic, his removed his hand from yours and looped it around your waist instead.
You gave him a look, "Really? The giddy act wasn't enough?" you whisper yelled.
"What? I'm just showing everybody you're all mine."
You glared at him, "So my place or yours?" you forced out, just loud enough so his friends could hear.
"Deeefinitely mine," Rachi leaned in closer and smirked.
Just as you were out of eye view of the group, and turned the corner, Raichi's hand let go of your waist. He squeezed his now free hand into a fist before releasing it. His face flushed red.
"Oh so now you're embarrased?"
"Shaddup!" he let out a huff after, "I'm not embarrassed... just giving you space. No need for us to be all touchy right now..."
"Well how's everybody gonna know I'm all yours?" you innocently smiled back.
"You- Damn you..." he muttered, his eyes fixed to the cement.
"You owe me for that."
"Yeah, yeah, I know... What do you want this time?" he looked up at you.
"Food."
"From?"
"Your place. You said that's where we're going aren't you?"
His face flushed crimson yet again, for a second you thought steam was gonna come out of his ears.
He stared at you like you were crazy, but no words of oppostiton came out.
You walk closer and took his hand again, "Do a good job cooking for me and I can brag to all your friends how well you take care of me."
His eyes shot down to your conjoined hands then to your face, "Uh, okay..."
You smiled and gently squeezed his hand.
His face cracked into a grin, "But be prepared for the best meal you've ever had in your damn life!"

♡ synopsis — to become the greatest striker, jingo raichi can't let anything distract him; not even you.
The sun was setting when he finally showed up, the streaks of orange and pink casting long shadows across the park. You sat on the worn wooden bench, fidgeting with the loose thread on your jacket sleeve, wondering how late he’d be this time. When you saw him jogging toward you, his messy hair damp with sweat, a faint scowl on his face, you couldn’t help but wonder if this conversation was already doomed before it began.
“Sorry,” Raichi muttered as he reached you, hands shoved into the pockets of his hoodie. “Practice ran late.”
“Again,” you said quietly, looking up at him. This was the third time in the past month his practices "ran late" on days you were supposed to hang out.
He winced, just barely. “Yeah, again.”
You both sat in silence for a moment, the air between you heavy with all the words that hadn’t been said yet. He sat beside you, his knee bouncing with nervous energy, his usual boisterousness replaced by something quieter, almost fragile.
“I wanted to talk to you,” you started, your voice trembling just enough to make him glance at you, brow furrowing.
“Is this about me leaving?” he asked bluntly.
You nodded, your throat tight. “You leave next week. For that soccer thing.” You understood how much your boyfriend loved soccer, just how good he was, but a new trial? One that didn't really have a time frame?
It was insane to you.
He exhaled sharply, leaning back on the bench. “Yeah, I do. You know that.”
“I know,” you said, twisting the thread on your sleeve until it snapped. “I just… I don’t know what happens to us when you go.”
His jaw clenched, and for a moment, you thought he wasn’t going to answer. But then he turned to you, his expression hardening. “I don’t know either. But I can’t let anything—anyone—get in the way of this. It’s my dream.”
You felt your chest tighten at his words, the air between you growing colder despite the warmth of the setting sun. “I’m not asking you to give up your dream, Raichi. I’d never ask that of you. I just… I thought we meant something to each other.”
“We do,” he said quickly, his tone almost defensive. “But this—what we have—it’s just a high school thing. It’s not…” He trailed off, struggling to find the words. “It’s not forever.”
The weight of his words hit you like a punch to the gut, leaving you breathless. “A silly high school thing,” you said softly, your voice barely audible. “Is that all this is to you?”
Raichi looked at you, his expression conflicted. “I didn’t mean it like that,” he said, his voice quieter now. “I just… I can’t let myself get distracted. If I don’t give this everything I have, what’s the point? I’ve worked too hard for this.”
You swallowed hard, tears burning at the corners of your eyes, but you refused to let them fall. “And what about me?” you asked, your voice breaking. “Do I mean so little to you that I’m just a distraction?”
He didn’t answer right away, his hands balling into fists on his lap. “I don’t know how to do this,” he admitted finally, his voice raw. “I don’t know how to care about someone without messing it up. Without hurting them.”
“Then don’t hurt me,” you said, your voice trembling. “Just… let me be here for you, Raichi.”
He shook his head, his lips pressing into a thin line. “I can’t promise that,” he said quietly. “I’m not built for that kind of thing.”
The words hung between you, heavy and final. You looked at him, searching his face for something—anything—that might give you a reason to hold on. But all you saw was his determination, his unwillingness to let anything, even you, hold him back.
“Okay,” you said finally, your voice barely audible. “If that’s how you feel, then I won’t stop you.”
Raichi’s shoulders slumped, relief and regret warring in his expression. “I’m sorry,” he said, his voice thick.
You nodded, standing up from the bench. “Me too,” you said, turning away before he could see the tears streaming down your face.
As you walked away, you couldn’t help but think of the quiet moments you’d shared—the way he’d held your hand like he was afraid to break you, the rare times he let his guard down and showed you the softer side of himself. And you realized, as the distance between you grew, that he’d never let you hold him without hurting him.
And maybe, you thought, he never would.
there's not enough love for him on this app, and i want to fix that.
