i do think the take where "its mostly minors who are antishippers and so theyre not valid" is weird

like no actually i think we should listen to kids asking you not to sexualize characters their age actually? i think is entirely valid that a minor watching a media and seeing themselves represented in a character and then going online and seeing the character sexualized and/or shipped with adults, and then being uncomfortable with thar and being anti that is actually a totally valid thing to do and response

especially considering ive seen people excuse proshippers cus they say its mostly minors doing it and to let kids have fun online

Yall can’t handle “Isha and Jinx’s relationship is less of a sibling relationship and much more of a parenting relationship” much less “jinx and Isha are both a reversal of and parallel to ‘nothing so undoing as a daughter’ that’s carried thru the rest of the series. We see two cases of a parent being unwilling to sacrifice their daughter and being killed by this decision, and the daughter in question absolutely falling apart as a consequence of this. Then there is a third instance where the daughter gives herself up against her parent’s will, and this ultimately destroys her parent. Regardless of whether or not the daughter is sacrificed, she is her guardian’s ultimate undoing. It crushes the thought that maybe if those first two parents had sacrificed their daughters, things would have been better. That’s not even to mention that the show STARTS with parents sacrificing themselves for their daughters.”
