Hear me out: Dan has to inhabit Danny’s body after the events of AGIT because he’s incompatible with the clones (something about the Vlad in him).
So while Vlad makes him a body he’s stuck with Danny in a sort of Venom and Eddie situation.
When Danny goes ghost, Dan is who he transforms into and is in control until he transforms back.
And of course they’re both stuck with each other’s consciences, they shit talk each other- it’s their way of coping with the situation.

I think we as a fandom need to approach Dan with the same level of sluttiness as the Spiderverse fandom has been approaching Miguel O’Hara/Spider-Man 2099. And the fact that we haven’t yet is a sin.
