How to Get Free Coins on KakaoPage
Here's a guide for getting free coins (and therefore free tickets!) from KakaoPage's various events.
From just participating in events to make this guide I got 300 coins today, haha.
It's written in six parts. Just read the first two parts if all this seems too daunting.
Viewing Mission
How to Spend the Coin
Other Events - Where to Find
Types of Events
Examples - Read This Work
Example - Special Event
+ Addendum - How to MinMax Your Spending
1. Viewing Mission
This is the simplest one - you can participate if you only have the notifications for kkp enabled.
Occasionally, kkp will send you notifications that read like this :
If you get this alert, go to the kkp app (or web) and immediately read any episode you can. It can be an episode you read before - I tend to reopen the latest GSGW episode.
Afterwards you'll immediately get another notification from kkp that read this :
Clicking the notification will lead you to a roulette page. Viewing mission gets you a roulette with 3000 max coins - below example is from a different mission, which is why it says 1000 max coins.
Click on the white button to do the roulette.
That's it, you've now won 100 cash. What next?
2. How to Spend the Coin
You have to immediately spend the coin. This is because they disappear after 12AM KST.
Go to the webnovel of your choosing (say GSGW) and exchange the coin for a ticket.
There! Now your coin has been safely exchanged for a ticket.
*If you have accidentally deleted the notification, don't worry! Go to the app -> on the bottom, there are five menus, and the middle one (The bell) has all the notifications. Find the notification you missed and click on it.
3. Other Events - Where to Find
You can of course click on events from the front page, but there is also the option to browse all events. Click the '이벤트' menu on top and then go to '이벤트 전체보기'.
4. Types of Events
Okay so now for the slightly confusing part.
KakaoPage has endless types of events.
Only some events give out cash. You'll be able to tell immediately which ones are the events that give out cash, bc they'll advertise with the max amount of cash you can get from the event.
Most cash-giving events are roulettes. The amount of cash written are the maximum amount you can get from the roulette. (usually you get 100 or 200 coins - expect 100.)
Some roulettes are instant, meaning the moment you fulfill the conditions, you can do the roulette. Others are given out at a certain date.
Some roulettes are for everyone who fulfilled the conditions. Others are for a set number of randomly chosen people.
Some events require you to read from a certain work, or a certain set of works - for others, you can read whichever work you choose.
Some events require you to read the work for the first time.
Some events require you to click a button to participate.
All these details are usually written on the bottom of the event page in small letters. If you get confused, just scroll down to the bottom and image-translate the text.
Okay, now let's look at some examples.
5. Examples - Read this Work
Let's look at a few events that require you to read from a certain/certain sets of work.
First let's look at this event.
It says it's held for seven days, that everyone who views 10 eps for the first time will get a roulette with max 2000, and if you view 3 paid eps you'll get a max 1000 roulette.
Which seven days, though? Checking at the bottom of the event page tells you that it's Nov 2nd to Nov 8th.
So do we participate in this event?
First of all since our goal is to get free coins, we can disregard the second one, since we'll likely only get 100 coins after spending 300 coins.
But what about the first one?
When I checked, this manhwa had 2 free eps, and eps 3-9 were free upon waiting (one free episode a day).
Since today is Nov 4th KST, this means I won't be able to view 10 episodes without paying. So I skipped this event.
Let's look at another event.
First one says you can view the first 10 episodes for free. Second one says if you read 10 episodes for the first time, you get a max 1000 roulette. Third one says every time you pay for 5 episodes you get max 1000 roulette.
Again let's disregard the last one.
The combination of first and second one means that you can read the first 10 episodes for free and immediately get a roulette of max 1000 coins.
I participated in this event and got 100 coins, which I immediately exchanged for a GSGW ticket.
6. Example - Special Event
kkp usually has one or more gamified event ongoing. Let's call them Special Events.
Since these are all different, you just have to look at each individual event to figure them out. Let's look at a current ongoing one
Immediately there's the opt-in button, which I clicked. Then there was a lot of images so I just scrolled down to the bottom.
So the concept of this event is whenever you view one ep of any work (After opting in), you get 1 exp. Every time you get enough exp, you 'level up'. The event ends in Nov 30th. On Dec 1st, you'll get a cash roulette, with the max cash amount depending on your final level.
The good thing about this event is it doesn't matter which work you're reading, or if you're rereading. I clicked through thirty-so eps of GSGW and leveled up to level 2.
The bad thing about this event is, of course, that you have to wait until Dec 1st. But since it doesn't take a lot of effort to click through 30 episodes, I recommend doing at least that.
That's it for the event guide! I hope this was helpful. LMK if you have any questions!
+ Addendum : How to MinMax Your Spending
This tip comes from a friend.
"About the last week or so of each month, there is an event.
If you purchase and use 10k coins, you will receive 200 points each day for 10 days. This totals to 2k coins.
Along with that, if you purchase after 3pm KR time, you will also qualify for a 10k raffle. The amount will range of course, but you're likely to get 1k coins.
I would recommend you slowly buy like this if you need to min max the amount of money you spent."
Please keep this in mind and wait for the end of the month if you plan on purchasing coins!
(Don't forget - coins and roulettes expire, so do the roulette and use the coins as soon as you can!)
