Valentines Day: Kasha

It's a day that doesn't really change for Kasha. Get up, work, work, work. Watch as the decorations are put out. Brambles stuck through pig hearts in the kitchen, roasted on the fire. Ambrose Day, a Hellenic martyr who roasted alive in the name of love. Kasha never used to think that much about it. But now? Thought that burning alive for love would be such a pleasure. Branding, burning, flesh searing, it was all the same, and all of it was something Kasha craved, could taste like the blood lining their gums when they bite their tongue too hard around you.

They can't do much… But what they can do?

Servant

Get up earlier. Slowly slide their feet out from their threadbare sheets, and pad over to where you lie, still deep asleep. Dragging their blanket from their own bed, and swaddling you with it. Getting dressed slowly, steadily, not to wake you up. Taking on your earliest chores for the day, lighting the fires, sorting through the different letters of the day. They couldn't find a way to skirt around the Spy-master's little tasks, but what they could give you? Was a rare lie in. To be awoken by stolen flowers, carefully cut from the protected bushes. A breakfast that they bribed the chef for. Fresh fruit, cut up. Something baked, but inexpensive. A dollop of cream, or chocolate, or sugar. Not too big. Then the night? The night is spent however you want it. With such little freedom, Kasha wants to make sure you get to pick. Stealing away upstairs to look at the old paintings. Hiding out in the hedge maze, right in the centre. Or just your small, cramped shared room, in one bed instead of two.

Royal

Get up earlier. Spare a glance to the empty bed, chewing on the inside of their cheek. Then away. Nearly falling into the flower bushes just because its too dark to see, even with the flickering lantern. Decorating your breakfast tray as best they can, with a flower and staring as the cook fixes it all up. Happily trots all the way to your bedroom, gently pulling the curtains, setting everything down. Giving you a sweet kiss to your cheek to wake you up. Then forehead. Then nose. Then, without regard to morning breath, greedily pressing against your lips. As if they're trying to breath all of you in. Stolen moments are everything. Sitting with you in the morning with your breakfast. Passing you in the halls, carrying the pressed tunic for one of the twins, desperately skimming the back of your hand. Only to sneak away at night, dodging the patrolling mass that was The Aide. To cuddle up close in your bed, breathing in your scent, the room cool while the sheets were warm.

I seriously feel, when it comes to New Gods Nezha Reborn, that people are sleeping on the potential highjinks of Li being in a poly relationship with Kasha and Su.

Li: "So this is my girlfriend Kasha, she sings and dances professionally and if you dare say she can't because she only has one leg I will kill you. This is our other girlfriend Su who is an accomplished well known doctor who keeps us both healthy and stops us from doing stupid shit all the time. They are mine, they are gorgeous, and I love them and if you do anything to upset them I will go god mode and beat your ass into the ground."

Some OCs I have planned to make to continue my Hawaiian Touhou fan work mostly from. I’ll first do as much as I can to learn the culture to properly convey it too ☺️. I already have the main character (Palila) and the mermaid girl. Here’s who else I’ve got planned.

An `Ōlohe (Skilled warriors but also seen as a sort of canine-esque lycanthrope with martial arts capabilities)

A Menehune (Noctrunal craftsmen that are good at architecture and fishing)

Niihau Ogre (from a myth about flesh eating winged monsters Niihau)

A Kasha (Japanese youkai, but has been sighted in Oahu back in 1942)

A Paniolo (Hawaiian cowboy/cowgirl)

A Shrine Maiden (goes without saying if you know Touhou)

Also my friend is working on a drawing of my wahine hiʻu iʻa OC. Y’know the mermaid with a jellyfish tail.
