King Joel of Mezelea!
- I hc him as a clay human created by the Mother Tree. He came into being a long time ago, and worked as a sculptor for some time before he was tracked down and crowned King by the people of Mezelea. He was crowned because after his ‘birth’, every single clay soldier that came from the Mother Tree looked exactly like him, and the people of Mezelea assumed that that was the Mother Tree’s will.
- He met Jimmy after his boat shipwrecked on the shores of the then unnamed Codlands. The crash destroyed some of Joel’s clay limbs, and Jimmy used clay from the shores of the swamp embedded with his god magic (not that he knew of it) to fix him up. The parts of his body where Jimmy replaced the clay with swamp clay are a different colour than the rest of him.
- His leaf antenna allow him to control/communicate with his clones like a hive mind! Whenever his clay body breaks or cracks bc of damage, moss and azaleas spill out.
- Many of the other rulers think he’s a normal human.
