The Minotaur . The labyrinth dwelling, bull head having, rap squat posing, Athenian child eating monster, known commonly as the Minotaur, is pretty well known today. He lived in a maze, ate people then was killed by Theseus. But do you know how he came to be? Poseidon, God of the sea, gifted King Minos with a pure white bull to sacrifice in Poseidon’s honour. Minos decided to keep it for himself instead so Poseidon made Minos’ wife, Pasiphaë, fall in love with the bull. We’re talking love love, that nasty love. Pasiphaë then had the great craftsman Daedalus build her hollow, wooden and anatomically accurate cow which Pasiphaë then promptly climbed inside so she could get freaky with the bull. Thus, the Minotaur was born. Imagine birthing that.
