Sweater Update #4
Greetings! I have 7.5 of the 12 recommended inches knit on the body of this sweater. I am expecting to add a few extra inches. I am still hoping to finish this weekend.
The ‘do the sleeves first on that final skein’ trick makes me very happy. Now my sweater WIP is all pure zen stockinette!

WIP Wednesday: Pride Edition
Last week, I showcased some of the pride knits that I had already finished. I know Wednesday is supposed to be a work in progress, but it felt like the perfect opportunity to showcase items that I had made in the past. This week, I'm focusing on my pride-inspired projects that are actually in progress.
I'm very proud to be a part of the LGBTQ+ community. You can see my coming out post here.
First up is my sock! I've posted so many photos of this as it's part of my Knit-A-Thon Fundraiser with the Leukemia Lymphoma Society. The sock is knit with Riding Tide Fiber Co.'s Talbot Fingering Yarn Rainbow Trail. I don't believe it's currently in stock on their website, but they have a lot of other great colors to choose from. I purchased it at the Fiber Festival back in April.
Next, I purchased Caron Simply Soft Speckle in vintage color. I'd originally bought this to make a striped cable sweater, but didn't like the way the colors worked together. It has since been frogged and now it's ready for something new! It's going to become Forest Gem, a Drops Design vest pattern. This is a super old Drops Pattern, but I am excited to see how it turns out. I've only just cast on this one, so it's just a baby!
And lastly, I had a full skein left of the Red Heart Super Saver in Rainbow Stripes that I used for my rainbow sweater. I decided to make a vest for my sister similar to the sweater that I made. I chose the pattern Mountain Moraine by Drops Design. The pattern is intended for a bulky yarn, whereas this one is a DK weight. I used a larger needle size to meet the gauge and enjoy the lightness of it.
so i have a bit of lace weight yarn that i was gifted that just been sitting on my shelf for a while now because i haven’t really known what i want to do with it 🤷🏼♀️
but now i’m thinking i wanna know a sweater using it!
i’ll probably regret it, but who cares that’s future mrs problem!
so if you have a lace weight sweater pattern or know of any that are nice please send them to me!
thanks 🙏🏻
Happy #wipwednesday #woollovewednesday and Groundhog Day! - Finally finished with gift knitting, I am back to my least fave part of a sweater: inches and inches of stockinette. 😐
w,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,, what if,,,,,,,,,,,,, dean knitted,,,,,,,,,,,,, and he made a sweater for cas,,,,,, i just,,, idk the idea of it is too much. imagine dean finding this beautiful, soft gray yarn and saying to himself, “yeah, this feels like cas” and he takes months to make it because he’s learning as he goes. and sure, he drops a bunch of stiches and somehow changes the pattern twice, and its a little too big for cas, but he made it. he’s not proud of it, he feels like it’s inadequate, but cas finds it and he changes into it immediately and Castiel, Angel of the Lord, proudly wears his gray sweater every where he goes.
