I have become quite bored with crochet.

I have also become quite bored with wearing all black clothing.

And I hate following patterns.

This is a tension square of a planned, in my head, pattern. This is first piece of experimental knitting I’ve done in many many years.

I need a beanie to accommodate my personal needs. Needed to practice the design, and work out the final measurements.

Nearly finished my first colour work mitten with my beautiful Winter Solstice yarn from @littlebirdinagarden.

Loving it so much!!

Drew myself using the colours of five of my favourite things

RAHHHHH IT ACTUALLY WENT WELL 🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳

There's the periwinkles and sunflowers in my hijab and face as well as the sunflower seeds and Lewis’ shirt in my face and jewellery

I used the aker fassi for my lips, cheeks and henna for that really good redness that it would stain as it would look naturally

And the pumpkin and aker fassi for my abaya!

Note: this was super fun since I have been really art blocked recently oh my god, thought I was useless eeh 🤧

Finished this 12 coloured fair isle steeked knitted cardigan earlier in the year.

It took about 2 years to make (while doing other concurrent projects). Pattern is Yell by Marie Wallin.

I have just finished my first real exercise in knitted colourwork

It’s not the most coherent neck warmer, but I find it so pleasing to look at, and I can’t wait to make another one with more complicated patterns :D

Wintry motifs abound in this warm afghan and pillow set.
