Ignore my dead inside face but y'all, these are so good. I bought them for my mom with my tax return (because they're kinda pricey) but they don't really work for her so I get to use them! (We were going to share them anyways because we each only really need one for a specific ear)
They're like hearing aids, but reversed. They help tone down noise instead of making it louder with no batteries or any electronic components.
We ordered the white ones but got black (which I originally wanted to order anyways) and they come with two additional sets of ear cushions- one is a smaller set of what originally comes on the Knops, and one is a memory foam set.
They're actually really comfortable to wear (given, I've only worn them for a couple minutes at a time so far, but I'll be wearing them at school probably full-time so I'll let y'all know how they feel after long periods) and it's easy to change the amount of sound you want. It's a bit difficult to get them in at first (a little bit of a learning curve due to the design) but once you figure it out you're good to go!
When I have them in and at the lowest setting, in my left ear I can hear nothing. Not my finger snap, not people talking, nothing but my tinnitus. In my right ear I can still hear a little, but certainly not clearly and not to the extent that I would if I had them out or at the highest setting. (I'm attributing this to the fact that I have a tube in that ear and can't get the right plug in the same way I can the left.)
I was concerned they wouldn't work at all, I mean, it seemed practically impossible. But they work surprisingly well and I'm sure they'll be an aide to me in school and other loud, crowded places that would otherwise give me anxiety.
