If im being honest, im not at all surprised that Sinu is gonna pull up to save Workers (esp Mitsuki and Ryuhei). Considering PTJ's writing style, im too familiar w this trope.
Perfect example of certain men (PTJ in this case) looking down on other men's (Sinu) sexual trauma 🥀
The so called Japanese Kim Joongoo doesnt seems Goo at all bruv 💀💔
As for Mitsuki I have a lot to say about her and her character building throughout the story. Mitsuki's backstory clearly shows how much of a misandrist she is, regarding men as disgusting. Though upon meeting Sinu, this hatred seemingly disappear as she fell in love w him.
But I don't think that hatred for men disappear at all. She drugged Sinu, assaulted him as well as wanting to off herself when he came back to his senses and leaves her ass. Those extreme actions can be interpreted that Mitsuki's resentment for men ended up becoming internalize. She sees Sinu as an object, going as far as turning him into her "toy"
This post is about Ryuhei x Yoojin so if you happened to dont like this pairing or just dont like rarepairs in general, you can go ahead and scroll
Yes ofc this would contain a few spoilers but it doesnt affect much 🎀
Also my literature ability is not that great so forgive me if my writing sounds weird 😭
So it is rlly evident that Ryuhei's loyalty towards Workers stem from the fact that hes in love w Mitsuki However, I think that at one point his devotion isnt solely about love but rather his bond w his crew members as well
Of course we have some pretty obvious moments where the blonde expressed care for his collegues (him feeling that the meeting is empty w/o Samuel, letting Doo Lee go and considered him as the only Korean he has respected ect.)
But Ryuhei isnt someone whose respect and trust is given easily. Hes an overconfident and cocky character, he never actually listens to someone unless the person talking to him is someone who he held in high regards
The first time we ever saw Yoojin and Ryuhei interact properly was when he was attending a meeting w the chairman. Right away we can see how indifferent they are with each other
(With Ryuhei's indecent manner the whole meeting and Yoojin sarcastic reply to his antics)
After which, the blonde went on and talk shit behind his back, saying he talks too much and hes boring
In the next panel tho, we can somewhat see that Ryuhei was a bit intruige w whatever Yoojin's plan was then quickly reassured himself that Yoojin knows what hes doing
This is a really prominent detail in their dynamic: their trust towards one another
This detail was highly emphasize during the hunt for big deal arc when Yoojin got kidnapped by Johan
When received the news that Yoojin was kidnapped, unlike Mandeok and Yuseong, Ryuhei reaction was rather calm. Imo, this is because he trusted Yoojin's judgement in situations like these and believes that he would find a way to escape. But he still went to save him anyway
Going off track a little but later on, when the fight between Johan and Yuseong started getting dangerous, Ryuhei felt it instantly and started shielding Yoojin, telling him to back away
And after the fight was over, we get this small moment of Yoojin resting his head against Ryuhei's back while riding on the latter motorcycle
There isn't much to talk about here but I just find this form of physical contact and interactions between them endearing 🤭❤
Now back to the main point, here is where id like to focus on the most, Ryuhei being Workers symbol of hope and how significant it is to Yoojin
The instant Gun appear, all of the members of Workers realized immediately that they're fucked. As Gun started terrorizing all of Workers strongest members, all hope seems to be lost. Right then, it was very how agitated Yoojin, begging Gun to stop only for him to say that he can wait until Workers can get up once more. Yoojin has always been protected by Yuseong and Mandeok but now those 2 close friends of his doesnt have the capabilities to fight anymore. Even when Kenta appeared, he too got taken out by Gun easily
This is where Ryuhei comes in
"Dont cry, if you cry, Kagiroi will come for you"
Workers final spark of hope. Gun has stated that if he won the fight against Ryuhei, the crew would disappear. The pressure was there for the blonde and Yoojin ofc, but then Ryuhei called out to the latter and said
"Our genius chairman", in spite of always calling him names like four eyes, glasses, nerd, ect. in Ryuhei's eyes, Yoojin has always been an intelligent individual and put his belief on the crew leader. He knew how hopeless and scared the latter was (which is rlly unlikely to everyone as he has always been this calm and collected person), so he called out for him to think of smth to while he held Gun of for him
Ryuhei himself never knew that DG was gonna come to save Workers, he wholeheartedly believes that he was Workers final wall and that he has to fight for it and he did. He similarly meet the same fate as his other crew members, but thanks to him, Yoojin was able to keep his composure and accelerate his plan of involving the police and DG
There are ofc lots of other moments between them but I picked the hunt for big deal arc because thats where the impact they have on eachother is properly emphasize
Ryuhei believes in Yoojin's role as Workers chairman while Yoojin believes Ryuhei is a symbol of hope for Workers (yes ik everybody thinks that, just let me dream 😔 theres smth special between the two I swear 😭😭😭)
This is kind of a character analysis rather than a rant about a ship but pls bare w me
In conclusion, live laugh love Ryuhei x Yoojin 🌼🌼🌼
i love lookism backstories because they range from kidnapping, cults, child abuse and abandonment to some guy following a girl from japan to korea because she was the only one who could make him get it up
