Progress on L19 as of the current moment is very interesting. The characters organically "took over" in the campfire scene in the present, and that is currently 2k+ words of character building and expansions in the present of Lacrimosa's plot

and then we cut to Diego's pov three months later and surprisingly, what I thought would be a quick and snappy of the peace breaking at Brede Pass has become 1, 124 words already because of subtle world-building since Brede Pass is on the brink of becoming its IA1 name.

As of right now, L19 is 3, 491 words, so I am expecting possibly a 6k-7k chapter again... oops. :/

To be fair I have a lot of ground to cover since Diego is approaching his IA1 self and then we have a Five Year time skip after this incident at Brede Pass and its fallout, so...

Chapter 19 of CI: Lacrimosa is here! This chapter is a dark, heavy one and you will probably be saying "Poor Diego!" throughout! In the background, more hints about CI bk 1 are established through the development of Axel and Shelley's friendship, and Diego struggles with actions he made in the past that scar him in the present.

L19 is a go for Thursday! My beta and I got it finished this afternoon and now I have it ready in ffn's doc manager for 6pm Thursday night! This is honestly a rather brutal chapter so I really can't wait to see the reactions to it. :>
