Most Thai people consume double amount of salt comparing to the global standard. For this reason, 22 million people have been affected by critical illnesses due to high salt intake cause Thailand lost $3,208 Million for the cost of treatment. The idea, we created an easy way to recognize the right amount of salt for cooking per meal. Thai Health Promotion Foundation Presents LESSSALT, the spoon is designed for people to recognize the right amount of salt for cooking, which is 1/3 of a teaspoon per meal. (*Calculated from the amount of salt recommended by the WHO.) In order to help people recognize the right amount of salt when using a regular teaspoon.

The local people tried to save him but as they could not find his body, they came together with this idea to throw #stickyrice into the river so that the fish would eat them instead of Qu Yuan's body. But what does Duanwu actually means leh? See, the actual date falls on ... the 5th day of the Chinese calendar 5th month. I think Duan supposed to mean double, and Wu means 5, in Mandarin, hence the name DuanWu festival. This month I’ll be sharing with you what’s in my basic cupboard essentials! So this morning I’m getting on top of what needs to be made as it’s all been used up! One I simply can’t live without now I’ve got my Thermomix - Homemade vegetable stock paste! You can see the amount of vegetables that have gone in! Spinach, mushrooms, tomatoes, carrots, courgettes, cauliflower leaves, herbs, sea salt, olive oil and dry white wine. Simple ingredients. Nothing in there I can’t pronounce! This will last me just over one month for about 500g worth. Shop bought versions contain a hell of a lot more salt and other additives. The taste is unreal and I use it in the majority of my dishes for a lovely depth of flavour.
