Written by: @the-mockingjay-hufflepuff There she was. Sitting across the grounds under a tree, examining the flowers growing at the base of the trunk. Neville breathed in deeply then let it out, walking over to where she was now sketching the flowers. "H-hey Luna," Neville stuttered. "Hello Neville," Luna looked up at him, a smile on her face as she stuck her pencil in her hair. "Can I sit?" Neville pointed to the patch of grass next to Luna. "Of course," Luna moved her backpack and patted the grass. Neville plopped down against the tree, the two of them sitting in awkward silence. "You know, Neville," Luna said, taking her pencil out of her hair and drawing a quick sketch of Neville, "You would look really striking with yellow daisies in your hair." She showed him her paper, which showed a very accurate drawing of Neville smiling at the sky, bright flowers braided into his hair. "Luna..." Neville started, as Luna began to pick the flowers from under tree. "Yes Neville?" she replied absentmindedly, stringing the daisies together. Neville looked at Luna. He looked at the way her hair glittered when the sun hit it through the leaves. He looked at the way her lips always held a small smile, no matter what was happening around her. He looked at her eyes. Her beautiful, amazing, gorgeous blue eyes that depicted the depths of the ocean or the night sky at exactly midnight. He looked at the way she held herself, sitting on the grass without a care. He looked at her heart, which, even though he couldn't see it, was very big and full of love for all things. Thats when Neville realized what he had come here to do. "I love you!" Neville practically shouted. Luna stopped playing with the butter daisies and stared at Neville. Her face showed nothing. The girl who always had expressions to show was emotionless. Neville took her silence as a chance to keep talking. "I love you so much and I didn't know if we were going to survive the war, but we did and now it's seventh year and I can't keep it in anymore," he stopped to take a breath and grasped Luna's hand in his, "you're the girl who waters plants too much cause she can't stop giving. You help anyone who needs it, no matter their blood or their house. You accept people's differences and never say a bad word against anything. People steal you stuff and make fun of you endlessly, but you don't get mad or retort harshly. You believe in things others don't becuase you said everything deserves a chance to be loved. You are the best person in my entire life and I don't know what you are going to say, but I had to tell you before anything else bad happened. The only person I thought of while I was fighting for my life was you. And whether I would see your beautiful face again. And I just... I..." Neville was gasping for breath, his hand griping Luna's fingers viciously. She didn't say anything as she released his hand and continued creating the daisy crown. Neville stared at Luna, watching as her nimble fingers tied off the crown, "You know why I said you would look good in yellow flowers?" she asked, glancing at Neville with a grin. "Why?" Neville said, a smile spreading across his face. "Because," Luna placed the beautifully-made yellow crown on top of Neville's head, "Yellow represents everlasting love. And I love you." <3
