ok I’m all here for Avengers/Batman crossovers,
but especially the bizarrely specific and niche friendships.
obviously Dick idolized Captain America. Every other fic I’ve ever read touches on IronBat. Or Tim Drake nerding out with Dr.Banner and/or tony. That Shit’s all good, but it’s basic. you know what I want to read?
I want the fic where Jason and Dr.Banner start to have a heart to heart about their respecive green angst, but end up nerding out over literature together because neither of them really wanna talk about it. The comany and solidarity of someone who at least kind-of gets it is nice, but let’s talk Jane Austen.
I want the fic where Spoiler and Hawkeye are Purple-Pals who joke with each other while subtly sizing each other up, until they both just start laughing because the other had the exact same thought. I want these two dorks to bond over being underestimated, but still being the light of their groups when it was getting dark. (hell a little off topic, but give me Mia Dearden and Kate Bishop while your at it)
I want Barbara Gordon and Pepper Pots to have afternoon tea and gossip over their idiots as much as the next guy, but I’ll do you one better: Tam Fox and Pepper Pots getting into corporate wars but also texting coffee recepies to each other for their disaster bosses.
I want the fic where Harper Row all but Worship’s Shuri and her work. Batman works with The Black Panther over something and needs an engineer, so at the same time they both pull out their phones and call their respective engineers. Harper gets here to help Bruce with something, and then almost Melts when she sees Shuri. Bruce and T’chala proceed to act like PTA moms, and wow harper really didn’t know Bats cared, but she has more important things to worry about.
I want the fic where Vision calls in a favor with Tony, who calls in a favor with Bruce, who calls in a favour with Kate, and suddenly Kate Kane is training Wanda Maximoff self control and overall baddassary.
I want the fic where Duke Thomas and Peter Parker trying to navigate the whole ‘teen vigilantee’ thing and also decipher exactly what the hell is wrong with literally everyone else. They have the Dully Dubbed ‘sanity solidarity’, because they have to stick together.
I want the fic where Cassandra Cain and Thor. I don’t even know exactly what I want with these two, but pretty much any general interactions would be welcome. Thor isn’t allowed to use his hammer when they spar, because they’ve decimated bases before. they share stories about adjusting to normal human society. Cassandra cain just,,, sits on his shoulders sometimes and no one really knows exactly why and they’re too afraid to ask.
I can go on forever. These character dynamics are stunning. Haven’t even started on the X-Men yet.
