Ok story time. I’ve heard about this show for a while before I watched it, never got around to it. Then, in February this year, immediately after having my second child, I started watching it. I needed something to watch between the endless feedings and the night walkings and the begging for sleep prayers.

I am convinced this show helped lessen the effects of the baby blues that I had gotten with my daughter beforehand. I haven’t laughed with tears in such a long time and on a few occasions laughed so hard/loud that I almost woke him up. (On a side note, the baby blues were a normal comedown from the mixup of hormones after giving birth, not full blown post natal depression. I knew that I was sad and why I was sad and it didn’t last very long. Seriously please don’t be afraid to talk to someone if you do experience PND.)

It is funny, sweet and mostly wholesome. It’s inclusive and well done. I love every one of the main characters. Jake, Holt and Terry are my favourites. I strongly identify with Amy and Jake personality wise (more Amy than Jake).

So yea this is just a big thank you love note for the existence of B99 and for all the actors.
