[ oh no ]
The rain seemed much more violent than usual. Maybe it was just his impression, maybe Tapu Bulu wanted to make his already awful mood much worse -- but, that day, Guzma barely noticed that. Heavy drops hit his head and back as he leaned on the wall outside Po Town, trying to keep his mind busy. He knew he shouldn't have accepted to meet with her, but he knew better. You can't say no to Miss Prez.
He. Can't say no to her. Even after all this time, even after what she made go through, even as their last encounter ended in a disaster. The fact that he managed to put his foot down and make her go to him ( a cheap way to feel a little safer, as if he truly believed that, if she took a step too far, he would've been able to just get inside and keep her out ) was already a miracle, considering that, once she finally showed up, he could barely find the right words for a few seconds.
Once again, the big bad wolf of Alola was turned into a shivering puppy, his voice insecure and almost forced, his eyes leaving the ground only when she admitted she just wanted to see him, widened in surprise. In pain.
No no no no. This isn't happening again. She isn't going to- He isn't going to fall for it again. Right?
...oh, but it's so hard to say no...
"...Is-"
He almost choked in his own voice. Scarred hands found their way to his pockets, his eyes once again lowered. Guzma was trying his best to seem relaxed.
He wasn't doing a good job at it.
"Is this why-- why you decided to help Ree?" a pause "...my- The young grunt. The blond one.
I... dont' get it, miss Prez. Really."
It was a trap. Obviously so. Last time they met, she called him disgusting -- he knows better than trusting her words, as sweet as they could be.
Yet he stands there. Tense. Obedient.
