Sam was bent over another massive tome. This was where he spent most of his time now. Researching. He did enjoy it. Though the missing workouts of being chased by the monster of the week had left him softer than he was used to.
Nowadays he felt bad for ever judging Bobby for the bit of beer belly he'd sported. It was difficult to keep up with a diet and workout regime while researching. Sam never knew how much time he had to find that critical piece of lore when someone called.
The monster might just be stalking them right this second.
The current case seemed to be some kind of reverse phistaco. Instead of eating fat, the monster seemed to be adding fat to peoples' bodies. He'd gotten this tome delivered with a handwritten note asking him to cross check the information with the bunker's library.
So far, he'd had no luck finding anything even similar. There were spells, yes, and hexes and various other little incantations with a similar effect, but no monster.
The book itself was vague on details. To Sam it read like a private translation to English. There was no mention of the original title though and Sam had had no luck searching in any other languages.
"Fattening" was hard to translate anyway and with a one word title he was pretty much out of luck.
So, back to pouring over this book instead. First, it talked about the history of the monster.
The first records of Fattening were found in 12th century diary entries. It is described as a rapid growth with exclusively fat. Though the victim may add muscle too depending on how mobile they are while under the influence of Fattening.
The phistaco Dean and he had encountered were similar in that respect, they focused exclusively on fat.
The next chapters described the effects of the monster in great detail.
The victim's body swells from their stomach first. Most victims have fat cells here already that the Fattening latches on to. First, to expand the fat cells, then to multiply them.
Sam's hunger faded to the back of his mind, as it did whenever he really focused on a task. Full concentration that he could maintain for hours.
The book seemed to exclusively focus on the effects of the monster now. Sam took notes on the exact symptoms though they all seemed related to the victim growing and their hunger increasing.
A small belly turns into a massive double stack of rolls under the influence of the Fattening. A modest pair of pecs into hanging udders.
Sam squirmed in his seat. The descriptions were uncomfortably graphic. He almost wondered whether someone was playing a prank on him, but right in the front of the book it said:
Dedicated to the research of Fattening.
Surely, it must be academic in nature, even if done by an amateur who wasn't aware of the common Latin names of body parts.
The hunter pauses. Slowly, becoming aware of the changes to his body.
Sam pulled his shirt down and pulled up his jeans. He really should lay off those after work beers with Dean. His brother had been steadily expanding too.
He checked the note again for any hints as for what to focus on in his research.
Please read. Need more information.
Written underneath was what looked like a phone number though Sam hadn't had any luck getting through to the hunter. He kept being redirected to the pizza place in town. Probably some anti-tracking measure.
The handwriting looked neat, the hand-lettered Gothic script was slight overkill in Sam's opinion, but it would do a good job of hiding the hunter's identity should his notes be used for handwriting analysis.
The seams on Sam's jeans were digging into his thighs so badly it made his skin itch. During his next break he'd throw on some sweatpants instead. As much as it felt like admitting defeat in the face of his growing weight problem.
Sam looked at the text again, then the note, back to the text.
It looked eerily similar.
Surely, the note writer had just used the book as inspiration. They couldn't be the same person. Sam keeps reading and—
Sam Winchester realizes what the Fattening is.
He slams the book shut. All of the sudden aware of how much fatter he was. Swollen with fat over the past few hours of reading. How hadn't he realised? Of course, there wasn't a monster that fattened people up.
It was a spell or curse just like he'd initially suspected.
Now the damage was done.
Just as the book had described, his pecs had grown massively, wrapping around under his arms and hanging heavily. The sleeves were digging into his new bingo wing arms. His shirt barely covered anything now. His belly was a massive stack of two rolls, wrapping around his body and forming thick side rolls. Red stretch marks littered his skin absolutely everywhere.
His thighs were stretching his jeans to their limit. Even through the thick fabric he could tell his thighs were sporting multiple rolls too. And his hands! For the first time Sam noticed he even had a roll of fat forming at the junction of his arm and wrist.
There was no denying how fat he'd grown.
Would he even be able to lose the magical weight? In any case the tome would need to be locked up with a note explaining why it should not be read by anyone else.
Though Sam couldn't help but play with the thought of getting Dean to read just a few pages. Just to avoid all the teasing that was sure to come once Dean saw Sam's new fattened body.
If someone, not me, of course, happened to find... A sword. And the sword wouldn't leave my- their side. Like, every time you tried to put it down, it just kind of... Zipped back to your side, either in your hand or in your belt. What would one... Do about that?
This sounds like a case of spontaneous attunement. Many weapons are bound to their wielders so they can return after being thrown. While it is a strange property for a sword to have, the intention behind this enchantment is probably practical.
Attempt to meditate next time you (or whomever has the problem) have time to rest and imagine severing your soul from the sword. This is usually enough to break attunement. If this does not work, or if this angers some sort of spirit attached to the sword and it begins to hunt you, see a curse breaker as soon as possible.
After the war, Hermione Granger accepts a Ministry assignment that places her inside Malfoy Manor, forced to work alongside the very man she once despised: Lucius Malfoy.
But as they navigate ancient artifacts, cursed bloodlines, and dangerous political currents, an unexpected magical bond awakens — one that neither of them can ignore. What begins as mutual intellectual wariness transforms into reluctant fascination, simmering attraction, and eventually, a dangerous intimacy neither could have anticipated.
As old powers stir and the Ministry tightens its grip, Hermione must decide how far she is willing to bend the world that once defined her — and who she is willing to become.
Lucius, ever the master strategist, sees in Hermione not a weakness, but the key to rebuilding House Malfoy into something stronger than blood purity ever offered.
In a world that fears what they represent, they choose each other — fully, irrevocably, and publicly. But power always has a price.
A slow-burn, enemies-to-lovers tale of dominance, trust, ancient magic, and the kind of love that reshapes the world.
Overview
Sweet Jazz City Museum is a major landmark in the city of Sweet Jazz within the Epithet Erased universe. It’s not just a repository of art and history but also a narrative centerpiece in the “Museum Arc.” The museum’s collection ranges from standard historical artifacts (dinosaur bones, animal replicas) to quirky and comedic items like cursed swords, otamatones, and the infamous Arsene Amulet. Its combination of classic exhibits and bizarre artifacts reflects the tone of Epithet Erased—a world that’s both humorous and slightly absurd.
Historical Significance
The museum is renowned as the world’s most famous art museum, which gives it a cultural weight beyond its city.
It curates significant historical portraits such as Phoenica Fleecity I and the Songstress, showing its ties to the Fleecity lineage and other lore-heavy elements of the series.
Its involvement in showcasing Epithet-related artifacts positions it as both a cultural and magical hub, where the history of Epithets is celebrated and preserved.
Role in the Museum Arc
The “Museum Arc” takes place almost entirely within the museum’s walls, making it an arena for both character interaction and chaotic events.
The arc highlights Mera Salamin and Indus Tarbella, who are employed as tour guides and night guards, blending comic relief with narrative tension.
The museum becomes a battleground when various factions—like Molly Blyndeff’s group, the Neo Trio, and others—collide, resulting in $36,000 in damage, adding to its chaotic reputation.
Salem/Relationships & Salem/History Connection
While Salem isn’t directly tied to the museum, its historical function parallels how Salem (from RWBY) is tied to myths and artifacts, making the museum an echo of the deep lore surrounding powerful items or characters.
The portraits and artifacts in the museum give insight into generational rivalries and legacies—themes often present in complex character relationships like Salem’s.
If linked narratively, Sweet Jazz City Museum could serve as a repository for forgotten history and relics connected to characters like Salem, blending comedy with dark undertones.
Notable Artifacts & Features
Arsene Amulet: A mysterious, possibly cursed item, symbolizing the museum’s connection to magical danger.
Otamatone on display: A random, whimsical detail, reinforcing the comedic nature of the series.
Dinosaur & Animal Halls: Classic museum settings, but often subverted for humor and plot twists.
