Mysterious Blue p.8/?
<< prev | next >>
It's Halloween in the Mojave Wasteland and we're all out of treats. Looks like it's time for us to play some silly little tricks instead! But first, we need a victim...
So... who are we setting on fire and hitting with a stick?
Benny
Caesar
Dean Domino
Father Elijah
Fantastic
Mr. House
Jeannie May Crawford
Malcolm Holmes
General Lee Oliver
Oliver Swanick
Vulpes Inculta
There's someone else in the Mojave Wasteland that I have in mind! (tell me)
I never understood why people kill Malcolm, the New Vegas NPC who pops up to tell you about the star bottle cap quest. But just recently in my current playthrough, I was trying to get the Old World Blues DLC started, but it was too early in the day, so I laid down in one of those aluminum campers just outside Nipton to wait for the satellite to turn on. I had set the timer to let me sleep for like 10 in-game hours, but woke up after only 5 to find Malcolm clipping through the camper wall, standing over me to tell me his stupid story about how he used to hunt bottle caps but doesn't anymore.
I now understand why people kill Malcolm.
i got this last night from my friend :)
malcolm will get me
so i have a mod that makes it so that Malcolm Holmes, instead of trying to talk to you as soon as you find a star cap, has a 20% of spawning somewhere in the wasteland every time that you pick up a star cap, and upon spawning, will stop at nothing to track and kill you. the mod describes him as relentless, heavily armed, and highly capable. this was my first experience with him (you can see me try to figure out where the shots are coming from at first) and it looks like murderfreak got out-murderfreaked
I was playing fallout New Vegas recently, and picked up a blue start bottle cap or five. I know from previous playthroughs a of this game that such an action triggers Malcolm Holmes to become corporeal nearby towns. He spawned in on top of the bison Steve roller coaster, took one look at me and fucking jumped to his death.
Has something like this ever occurred to anyone else???
I headcanon a few characters to be Psykers
The Mysterious Stranger and Miss Fortune: they have the ability to show up when someone is in danger and disappear soon after
Jason Bright: It's not the radiation that makes his voice have that reverb to it he is speaking to you both physically and telepathically
Tanya Kristoff aka The AntAgonizer: She has the ability to control ants
The player character: if you take the Animal Friend perk
This one is more of a joke one but Malcolm Holmes: the guy can track you from anywhere in the Mojave and claims to have seen you pick up a star bottlecap which would make sense in an area with tons of people but not so much in places like Jean's Sky Diving
