Modern Au Shirahoshi and Luffy being friends

They play games together, they run around the farm (mainly Shirahoshi cause she’s scared), Luffy showing off Nika and Shirahoshi showing off her Suckerfish Poseidon.

Ace scares Shirahoshi but that’s normal, Sabo likes to make funny faces at the little girl to make her feel better but this just causes her to cry harder. Luffy is annoyed by her antics but she’s still a friend, just a huge crybaby one.

Also Neptune and Dragon just watching them on the porch just seems natural like

Neptune: Hey Boys?

Fukaboshi, Ryuboshi, and Manboshi: Yes Dad?

Neptune: Can you guys stick close to Shirahoshi? I don’t want her getting hurt.

Dragon: It’s pretty safe farmland, I doubt she’ll get hurt.

Neptune: Oh you don’t know my Shirahoshi, she once bruised herself after falling from 1 foot.

Dragon: Seriously? Such a big girl is that sensitive?

Neptune: She gets it from her mother, god bless her soul, she was still so adventurous for how fragile she was.

Dragon: So maybe you need Shirahoshi just to discover her sense of adventure?

Neptune: Maybe. Boys, never mind what I said, Shirahoshi will be fine.

The Neptune brothers: Ok.

Shirahoshi: It’s too High!!!

Luffy: It’s just being on the back of Nika! They’re nice and exceptionally gentle.

Ace: Besides if you fall we’ll just scrape you off the dirt *gets hit by Sabo*

Sabo: Ignore him, he’s a Dumbass.

Shirahoshi: Daddy says you can’t use those words.

Luffy: Well our “daddy” isn’t here right now and neither are yours, you could say whatever. Now just steer Nika forward.

Shirahoshi: Um, ok. *Grips the reigns* (softly) Hiyah!

*Nika walks forward slowly*

Shirahoshi: I’m doing it! I’m riding a horse!

Luffy: *groan* At a snail’s pace. Come on Nika go a little faster

*Nika takes off across the Farm*

Shirahoshi: AHHH!!! Daddy!! Fukaboshi! Ryuboshi! Manboshi! Anyone please help me!!

*Ace, Luffy, and Sabo running after Nika*

Luffy: Just jump off! Jump into the dirt!

Shirahoshi: But than I’d be scuffed and hurt!

Ace: You’re gonna get a lot more hurt if you stay on!

Sabo: He’s right!

*Nika runs across the front yard*

Neptune: *Gasp* Shirahoshi!!

The Neptune Brothers: Sis!!

Dragon: Luffy!!

Oh, Luffy is getting grounded and a big lecture about this for sure.

Nika is a zorse. Zorses don’t take to being ridden as well due to an inherited temperament from their zebra parent.

Luffy is only able to ride Nika because A) he puppy-eyed his way into keeping him, B) he is responsible for conditioning Nika (with Dragon’s guidance and help, obviously), and C) Luffy has the same stubborn attitude as Nika and knows when not to push it.

Shirahoshi… isn’t Luffy. Thankfully, Nika is fond enough of her not to buck her off, but still.

Once he’s hopped on Granny and safely gotten girl and zorse to safety, he’s apologizing to Neptune profusely for the whole mishap. He should have been keeping a closer eye on the kids than he had.

Neptune laughs it off because really, what else can he do? Dragon’s a good friend. Nobody was hurt, save for some mild scrapes and undue stress. And he knows Dragon will give Luffy a stern- but fair- talking to.

I feel so bad I accidentally posted this on my other blog (everypageofnicorobin) without realizing lmao. My nigga Mamboshi don’t deserve that.

    Neptune’s third son, Mamboshi loves to dance. He always wants to go “Mambo Mambo!” Despite his weak appearance, he is quite strong. And he and his brothers were shown to be able to defeat Hordy Jones’s entire crew when they aren’t on energy steroids.

Happy Birthday, Mamboshi!!!
