Everyone knows that Sirius was the outgoing of the two brothers, he was always moving and causing chaos while Regulus was more quiet rather keep to himself and his studies. You would think this means Sirius would be the guy dancing on tables while drunk while Regulus is barely sipping on his own drink in the corner.
Actually, you would be wrong.
Sirius when drunk doesn't want to move much, he is flushed and a wobbly mess clinging onto Remus the whole time. Regulus on the other hand forgets himself while drunk, dancing with Barty maybe making out who cares, that's sober Regulus's problem.
To Barty, Regulus was an Angel. He was too perfect and beautiful like he wasn’t real and felt selfish to be around yet he loves being selfish.
To Regulus, Barty was a Devil. That person by himself side that tried to make him turn away from the perfect path set up for him, and made him feel greedy for giving in.

Regulus has had a confusing life he doesn't even know how it got to this point, having a friend he was very aware that liked him. That being Barty, the crush was obvious, yet its like the man can't make up his mind if he just wants to fuck around or actually be with Regulus or not.
then there was James, and don't get Regulus wrong he was sweet but at the same time were his words just him being kind or actually flirting? there was no telling.
And those two are just his main problems he has many more along the way. aka the list of lovers of Regulus Black.

But if I did so happen to have notes...Regulus is Anastasia he is trans ftm who transtions during his time in the orphanage. Barty is Dimitri and Evan is a mix of Dimitri and Vladimir. Sirius is the Empress of course and maybe a few more years older, James is Sophie. And Voldemort is Rasputin with Peter as Bartok and there is a plot where Peter betrayed the royals and let Voldemort in.
oh and Pooka is now a cat named Kreacher.

I got a little au in my head where Regulus was a painter and writer back in the 1800's he wasn't famous honestly he mostly just write and paint for himself. Then he got bit turning into a vampire.
over the years moving from place to place for safety so no one would realize he and his brother (Sirius is also a vampire) never age. While moving over the years some pieces got lost from just how much his collection is or he just didn't like the piece.
Now it was the 2000's and he was going through a museum not expecting to see a piece so familiar to him on the wall wait...that's his piece!
Turns out young historian Remus Lupin has been hunting and restoring these pieces from the mysterious author and painter R.A.B.
Guys I just took a look at my Marauders fic idea list and its not looking good. You might be wondering 'oh what do you mean its not looking good? were some ideas deleted?' no worse. I have for just Bartylus alone, 40 ideas, keep in mind these are the ideas that I remembered long enough to write down there might have been dozens more if I didn't just forget.
Im fucked and worse some of the ideas are just like smutty ideas but most of them are long plot filled ideas. And I know myself I can't take on mutiple big projects at once its the reason why my rosestarkiller fic isn't always my top prioity instead just when I feel like writing it.
Im bored and decided why not make a list of what I think all the Marauder era characters sexualities and genders are, though to be far for me some characters are pretty loose so I don't really care. And I thought why not add some fun headcanons with it.
James - he is cis but is bi, men and women bit is leaning to women though his first crush on a man was Sirius. Also was his first kiss.
Sirius - in my mind he is a demiboy but that doesn’t mean he didn’t go through a phase of trying different pronouns to try and see what fits, he is also demisexual but he did date around a bit around fourth year just to annoy his parents not out of real love.
Peter - is cis and bicurious that man questioned a few things when he saw Lockheart’s glow up.
Remus - is cis but is gay though he did try to ignore it and felt ashamed because of the fact he thought he was the only one different.
Lily - cis and straight but she was so many girls gay awakening like no joke.
Mary - idk she gives me transfem vibes but she was really insecure while discovering herself until one time she stole Marlene’s girl’s uniform and was caught but the two ended up trading. She is either pan or bi.
Marlene - lesbian like 100% loves women had a huge crush on Effie but I can’t figure out if Marlene should be she/they or nonbinary but they are masc.
Xenophilius - idk if I spent the name right but they are nonbinary, asexual and unlabeled like they doesn’t have a clue what they are.
Severus - he is bi his first crush was of course on Lily and crushed on her so hard so when he got his first crush on another boy it shocked him because it didn’t feel right.
Regulus - so I see him mostly as transman but honestly he can gender bend as much as he wants, transman, transwoman, nonbinary, genderfluid and so on but he is gay like very much into men.
Barty - okay so I used to be a big ‘Barty is bi’ but now I think he is pansexual he doesn’t really care on gender all together.
Evan - I see him as cis and bi and his gay awakening was Regulus but his first kiss was with Barty.
Pandora - why can I see her as transfem? Like idk why like her and Evan were a pair of boys but she didn’t feel like one and also she is pansexual wanting to fall with the person’s soul more than looks.
Dorcas - she is cis and a lesbian but has kissed boys before but didn’t understand why she didn’t feel that fluttering feeling like in the books until she was against Marlene in a Quidditch game and oh boy the butterflies were fluttering.
Barty and Regulus who are the opposite when they murder.
Barty spends his life being messy to throw off and piss off his father yet his murders are quick, with a flash of green and his target drops dead. Yet Regulus who spent his whole life being perfect for his family his murders are messy using Muggle tools more often than his wand and is covered in red by the end of it.
